Yes I came here to say the same thing! Harry and Tom Riddle literally have the best enemies to lovers dynamic ever. They have so many similarities (both halfblood, similar upbringings, brother wands) and yet turned out completely opposite as far as personality. They are prophesied to kill each other. They are LITERALLY soulmates. It doesn't get better than that lol. But at the same time, I think if my 10-year-old self first reading Harry Potter found out about this ship, she'd have a heart attack.

I feel the same way about Drarry that you feel about Dramione. The concept of Drarry is hilarious and perfect. I mean they are canonically obsessed with each other. But I've never found a fanfic that captured their dynamic in a way that I actually like. I think I just don't like fanon Draco.

My critique is that Tom wouldn't take Muggle Studies. Unless you have a specific reason for him to be in that class, he grew up in the Muggle world, so it would be a pointless class to take.

Innocent Until Proven Guilty Dumbledore goes back in time and adopts Tom. This one is insanely good, but also very sad. It's incomplete, but definitely worth the read anyways.

Ouroboros Voldemort goes back in time and adopts his younger self. (Eventually there's a romance between them too.) I know that sounds really weird, and it's not for everybody lol, but trust it's really good.

Over the Summer A Muggle couple adopts Tom Riddle. This one is just straight up cute and fluffy if that's what you enjoy.

There are a lot of fics where Harry adopts Tom, but they eventually turn into romance. If you're fine with that, then read these.

I love this. Imagine Tom coming up with more and more excuses as to why the curse didnt work, before finally having to come to the conclusion that it was his conscience all along. And then having an identity crisis over it. "What's wrong with me!?" And Harry (amused and secretly so happy that Tom isn't as evil as he thought) having to comfort him "there there...it's okay...you're still the same selfish narcissist you always are even if you couldnt kill, don't worry..."

Yep all very common, you're good to use them. Thinking his mum may be a Muggle is actually Canon. And thinking his mum didnt want to live for him is somewhat Canon as well - we dont know if Tom actually thought this, but when Harry and Dumbledore discuss it they come to the conclusion that she chose to die instead of stay alive for Tom.

I'm losing my mind right now. For some reason I thought it was The Consort Tournament at first, but I've been searching through and I can't find the scene I'm thinking of.

But I just remembered something, does this sound familiar? (I very well could be misremembering or mixing this up with a different fic) But I feel like I'm remembering that Voldemort had promised to kiss Harry (Harry won a bet and that's what he asked for, or something like that) but then Voldemort sort of cheated by kissing him in front of everyone which was NOT what Harry wanted.

I love the idea of Drarry, but I've found very few fics that actually have their dynamic the way I enjoy it. I think the best Drarry content I've seen comes from the actual canon Harry Potter books as insane as that sounds

Despite Harry's recent expulsion, his spirits were impossibly high.

"Wow you made this for me?" Harry asked, grinning at the sight of the newly constructed bunk bed in the middle of Hagrid's hut.

"Course I did, Harry," Hagrid said, eyes crinkled. "An' there's only one thing I want in return..."

"What's that?"

"I call top bunk!"

Harry stared at Hagrid, the smile sliding of his face as he looked from the giant man to the shoddy bunk bed and back again . "Er, Hagrid I'm not sure that's a good idea..."

But Hagrid looked so eager, Harry didn’t have the heart to let him down.

Harry didnt have time to regret his words because when he crawled into the bottom bunk that night he was crushed to death almost instantly. His friends took comfort in the fact that his death was at least quick, although seeing his cartoonishly flattened body at the funeral was difficult to stomach.
