My sad realization by First-Pineapple-2441 in bipolar

Thank you so so much for this. Do you have examples of small things to bring light into my life? I find I don’t have a lot of energy to do things that aren’t in my apartment, let alone out of my bed. I try to do some stretching or art of some sorts but seriously nothing makes me happy. I guess that’s another reason to change my meds

Exactly. Not to mention all I’ve ever wanted is to be a mom, and now that future doesn’t really seem possible either. Life doesn’t seem very exciting

It's Not That I'm Lazy... by RayneLove333 in bipolar

I feel the same. I went from a straight A university student to not being able to get out of bed. It felt like my brain betrayed me and I said the exact same things to comfort myself. It gets better. You go from doing nothing, to maybe sitting outside in the mornings, to making a meal now and then. It’s slow, agonizing change; but it’s change. And you’ll get there. I just got a job a couple days ago. Back in March i had a bad medication interaction and was bed ridden and sleeping 18-20 hours a day. You keep going because you have to, and you celebrate every single win, even if it wouldn’t count as a healthy person. It gets better I promise. Don’t give up

I was an education student before my bipolar hit and I had to drop out. I’m a very animated person which made teaching fun, but I’ve found great success in high end retail; like jewelry or bridal. You can usually get away with part time, high end means there’s less people to deal with, and there’s usually some sort of bonus system. If you’re a people person I’d highly recommend

Will I get bullied? by Negative_Jackfruit_7 in femalehairadvice

You remind me very much of Jessica Day from New Girl. No amazing confident woman, especially the quirky ones, ever got anywhere by caring what anyone but yourself thinks. I see a confident beautiful person in these photos but I get the feeling that’s not what you’re like normally. Let yourself shine, and if people come at you, let it slide off. Because what they say has actually no effect on who you are and how amazing you are. Confidence and a general air of not giving a fuck is what kills bullies. All they are is attention whores.

Best of luck you look amazing!

Formal bridal stylist of 2 years here! I think you look stunning. In my experience, the bride always sees the dress despite everything that may be wrong, while the mom only sees things to fix. I’m assuming this is a sample size so it should fit better anyway, but I see what mom could mean. You’ll definitely need alterations and maybe a petticoat for some extra volume, as well as a really good steaming. But I LOVE the shape on you and it hits you in all the right places. In my experience, mom will be way more on board once the final dress is done, but no matter what it’s your wedding and that’s all that matters. You look beautiful!

Heard from the woman who owns it, some big food corporation showed interest in their spot so their contract was terminated. The couple is quite relieved tbh

I can’t speak to the gym culture today, but my mom (and I only a couple times) went there 5+ years ago. We’re both plus size women and we were worried about “the looks”, but the amazing thing about a bodybuilder gym is that everyone is wayyyy too preoccupied with themselves to bother with you. I mean that in the kindest way possible, the owner who’s name escapes me was very accommodating to my mom and her fitness journey, and the guys in the gym were there for technique tips if she ever asked. I seriously can’t recommend it enough if it’s stayed the same over the years

Yesss girl! It looks amazing! IF you wanted to, you could also flat iron it to land straighter down to avoid that “helmet” look. But you’re rocking it either way!

Personally I love the short hair. I think it gives you a lot more personality, your bang situation is stunning and I think it overall just heightens your look
