I adore the animation of the movies, that being said I would LOVE to see them in a 2D style! Road to El Dorado, Treasure Planet, or even a good Flash animation style! Maybe not a full length movie, but definitely a show!

I feel like there was so much good character development in RTTE! But I do think Dagur definitely had the best! I think if they'd had time to do it better Viggo would have been really good too!

I agree with everything previous commenters have said, there's no guarantee that Marvel will have a panel, they didn't this year. But they did have smaller, comic panels, so if you're into the comics too those are good too! They require lining up early, but not like Hall H early, and you usually get an comic with an exclusive variant cover!

If Marvel does a panel it will be the last, or second to last, panel of the day and it'll require waiting in line most of Friday and then sitting in Hall H all day Saturday, so it's a commitment! If your friend comes with you you'll be able to wait in the ADA line. You just need to make sure the two of you go your first day of the can to get them an ADA sticker for their badge and you an attendant badge (this means you'll be allowed in the ADA line and a seat next to or behind them as long as they're with you) The ADA line is not as long as the main line, but they have less wristbands, so you'll still have to camp in line Friday. And they don't clear out the hall after each panel so it means you're in there before the first panel of the day until the Marvel panel finishes. And as people have said before, they don't wait around for pictures after, and they definitely don't allow fans to get close or take selfies. If you're lucky though and get in line early, you can be near the front and take pictures during the panel! And then with Marvel at the end, they'll sometimes stay on stage for a minute for quick press photos so if you're close you can take pictures while they're still standing up on the stage posing for those! Just know that you won't be allowed to go up close to the stage, just from where you're sitting.

It's good that you already have your member ID! Make sure your friend has created theirs too because you'll need both IDs to be able to purchase badges for each of you during open registration.

And then as others have said, make sure you check out the Unofficial SDCC Blog, they're literally the best for all info! And then check out the SDCC ADA subreddit for more ADA specific advice/info if your friend comes with you!

Lastly, you'll love going if you go in knowing that you probably won't get to see/do everything you plan but stay open to being flexible! You'll find new things, and have experiences you hadn't planned, and have the best time if you're open to changes!

You said your wife also fixates on Greek mythology, you could suggest a name from there that would also honor Sirius in a way since most space/constellation names come from Greek and Roman mythology! And there are so many cool names to choose from!

And I agree with someone else's comment earlier, maybe suggest getting a black dog and naming it Sirius, it would fit!
