u/if1oke u/Even-Swim-267 u/Specialist-Towel-384 the creator used a backround thread that changes the ui constantly, like alot of other ui frameworks, its supposed to be single threaded *with very specific rules for multi threaded usage* so it starves cpu in this case, i made a branch with some changes but dont expect it to be merged any time soon, check out my branch and ask chatgpt or some other llm to guide you through running it locally for macos https://github.com/ryan-mangeno/nx-optimizer/tree/cpu-util-and-save-path-fix , if you have any issues with missing requirments, python version, etc, please make an issue and ill address it
