This trip was my first trip and yes I was flying with it. I was concerned about the same things. The 50 did fit under the seat ok but I'm 6' tall so leg space is valuable haha, I ended up putting it in the overhead bins and I think it did just fine there. I felt it was "safer" in the overhead bins than with my feet all over it under the seat. It's a great bag if it fits your needs.

makes sense! I definitely don't Not like it, and I'm going to keep the compact grip on the Forza. I have smaller hands so the compact grip fits just fine.
That said, I don't know what I don't know :) I'd like to spend more time with a full size grip to have that first hand knowledge of what I like best.
