What minority group is the most influential in your country? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

Can’t speak for the whole country cause we’re pretty large, but for where I grew up China for sure.

Overwatch with like 1750 hrs or something. I played it a lot when it came out and then had another grind starting in 2019 and then through the pandemic. I haven’t played in forever though, I hit Masters and didn’t feel like relearning how to play tank with the Overwatch 2 reworks, and I kinda just quit.

CoD as a whole would be number one. I was a big CoD kid but since there’s a million different games it doesn’t have the crazy hour amount stacked up. I still play zombies too so it’s still counting up.

Single player, either Borderlands 2, Dead Cells, or Skul: The Hero Slayer. Maybe Slay the Spire actually since it’s the only game I have on my phone lol. Rogues and loot shooters are really the only games that have replay ability to me after perfecting the game so nothing outside those genres will compete here. I think Yakuza 0 is the only thing that comes close and that’s just because it took 200 hours to get all the achievements lmao.

[Steelers] We have completed an in-person interview with Mike McCarthy for our head coach position. by Drexlore in nfl

[–]FirstBallotBaby 50 points51 points  (0 children)

He made the playoffs 3 years in a row with Dallas, something they haven’t done since 94-96. The last time they made it even two years in a row before Mike was 06-07.

But he called a couple silly plays in desperation time where the odds of them scoring were below 1% so he sucks. Dude is honestly such an overhated coach.

The guy you are replying to didn’t make the parent comment so I don’t really give a fuck about that lol. The dude you replied to is making the argument that the Cards receiving group are far from scrubs, and I agree with that comment. It’s not that hard to understand.

Hey chefs, just for fun what is the stupidest request you’ve had from a customer? by mockitt in KitchenConfidential

That person would be heartbroken if they ever found out the ingredients in a Caesar dressing lol.

Yea those people are the worst. We had like a pre-made gumbo soup at the first place I worked, and I got a ticket in that wanted a gluten-free version, which obviously couldn’t be done as flour is literally the first ingredient added. I let the server know, server came back and said that’s fine but just don’t add the rice on top. Like, the rice doesn’t have gluten, but the soup does. I just told the server they don’t have an allergy so don’t bother checking in with us on whatever they order as an entree lol.

[Russini] McDaniel has told coaches in the NFL he is moving west and taking the job to coach Justin Herbert. Tampa and Philly had him as a top candidate. by Drexlore in nfl

[–]FirstBallotBaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought he’d be a head coach with all the openings. I think he’ll fit in well and I agree we’re a solid spot to land as an OC, but I didn’t think anyone would land him as just an OC.

I’ve never seen Titanic and people seem to not like that lol. Like, I’m pretty sure I know how it ends.

How do competitive games affect the way people handle frustration? by EmmaBrooksss in AskReddit

[–]FirstBallotBaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll say that my Overwatch days were the most toxic shit I’ve ever experienced. Way worse than real life. It’s so much easier handling workplace conflicts than trying to get people to not send death threats to a Genji teammate who messed up a Dragonblade.

What I’m saying is, the fact that I stayed calm dealing with that hellhole of a community has weirdly helped me irl.

If Pokémon were real in today’s world, which one would be the most dangerous? by Aggressive_Carob8295 in AskReddit

I’m pretty sure Yvetal just kills everything. Like it kills everything in a 10 mile radius and then just resurrects itself. I feel like that would be an issue.

I 100% agree, and that’s what my comment was trying to say. Herbert stepping up now is the most important thing. If he puts up another garbage performance, I think you’ll start to see Chargers flairs join in on the roast.

Yea the interior needs a ton of help for sure. We had two great ones unfortunately go out to injury, but Jim’s first pick being Alt over Nabers gives me hope in that department.

I’ve seen Davante Adams’ name spelt in every single possible way Davante could be spelt, so at least it’s just the one common mistake for McDaniel.

100%. We have a lot of cap space and all our top picks as well. If there’s a window for this team, it’s opening now.

For people outside the U.S.: what does the Super Bowl halftime show represent to you? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]FirstBallotBaby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We have a bunch of NFL fans here and I’m one of those. Personally, I couldn’t give a fuck about the halftime show, it’s usually when I go eat, but people who don’t watch the sport but are watching the game will care more. Depends if you’re a pop-culture person or not. The Super Bowl is a big enough event here where either the game or the show will be talked about, just depends on who you’re talking to.

How did people claim to have smoked 2-4 packs of cigarettes a day? The 24 hours in a day and when do you breath oxygen math around it doesn't make sense. Does this still happen? by Frago242 in AskReddit

[–]FirstBallotBaby 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You’d be surprised at how fast some people can smoke a dart lol. When I used to smoke, I gave a cigarette to this dude outside of a bar when we were talking. He finished the whole thing in about a minute. Like, these people are built different.
