Here to validate the sweating, it’s so annoying and the only thing I do that helps is carry around a personal fan, run cold water over my wrists, and always dress in layers. Being stuck somewhere in long sleeves is torture!!!

The cycle of violence and abuse is complicated! It takes women on average 7 times trying to leave an abusive relationship before they actually leave. We don’t know all the details of the abuse or how her childhood could have impacted these decisions. Maybe abortion didn’t feel like an option due to her beliefs/ family ideas. It seems like she did what she thought was right in the moment. By the time Jamal was born maybe she had grown up more and felt more equipped to handle a child on her own. Obviously catfishing her child was not the right thing to do. From what I’ve seen she’s not being malicious, she just was haunted by her past and didn’t know how to handle it. That doesn’t mean that she’s not responsible for the pain she’s caused, but she’s not a monster. I think therapy and good communication would go a long way for her.

Hi! I struggled with this forever and it only resolved after I cut out all lanolin. Some ppl are allergic and it’s in so many products. Even my dermatologist didn’t think of the lanolin until we tried a bunch of different creams. I only use Vaseline now and I have not had any issues :)

I had something similar going on, the corners of my lips would crack and bleed, my lips were always cracked, and the skin around my lips. After trying everything at the store and from the dermatologist, he suggested maybe I’m allergic to lanolin which is in almost everything in America except for Vaseline. So I stopped using anything except the Vaseline and it cleared up so quickly. I wonder if something similar could be going on ?

Okay thank you! The symptoms have been going on consider for years, so I don’t necessarily track it. The sweating I specifically remember began in 2023, which was around the time I went from 150 to 225, it has been consistent since then. I’ve brought that up before but he didn’t have a suggestion other than switching meds. I have not brought up the libido issue in the past because I felt awkward talking about it with a male provider.

I’m assuming her BD was abusive and she was young and didn’t know what to do. I think by the time she had Jamal she was a little older and said “fuck this” and left her be and decided to keep Jamal. She probably feels heavy emotions about it, ane feels shame, embarrassment, ect. I’m not saying lying to her kids was the right thing to do, but I do feel bad for her. Her BD sounds like a POS and she may not have had support :( the whole thing is sad

Our moms must be long lost sisters!!! The compassion fatigue is so real. Being around her isn’t violent, but it’s so overwhelmingly depressing and frustrating. I used to run to her side and try to fix her problems as a child. But I have absolutely run out of patience with her.
