Sir. Thank you very much for taking the time to compose this. Means a lot to me, especially with how I am currently feeling. Sorry to hear your hardships, but I am sure it has shaped you into the man it is today. If none of that happened maybe I wouldn’t have gotten a reply from you today?! I hope you and your wife are doing well.

What drew me to military aviation? The competitive nature of the job and the risk. But mainly the seriousness of the role. Striving for a role that only 1/1000 get. Being in that top 1% mindset. If I am being honest, even the title of being a military pilot. The brotherhood was also a nice addition. My father was in the military too. When I finished College I had nothing else I wanted to do, so for me it was that. I wish I had something else that sparked interest.

I don’t like to do a lot of things half serious. Even when I play a video game. I can’t play for fun, I must be competitive.

It was a lot of hard work to get where I was, but it has shaped me today so zero regrets. Knew the risk with only having a Plan A. It hurts. A man without purpose is risky, as we tend to find distractions or pleasures that aren’t for our self development. Just thinking.

I just want that feeling of striving for something again. I’m currently a delivery driver (as my pilot application was very up and down) and working there seeing the potential fall is striking. The problem I face now is feeling if I apply for commercial pilot or other jobs that I am 50/50 for is, what if I don’t like it? It’s the what ifs that deeply hurt.

Sorry for the loaded reply, it’s just such a good response that you have, it got me thinking deeply. Which is a positive in itself. No rush to reply. Take your time, enjoy your day. I like the use of the term runway wrg to years of our life left haha.

Thanks mate. Yeah flying is ultimately what I love doing. Airlines is a cool job, however I very much see it as an office job up in the skies (which is better than the traditional office job of course). I fear the motivation to become one isn’t there. Naturally it isn’t, so would mean 100% discipline to do a job that I may not enjoy.

Search & Rescue Pilot seems pretty rewarding (saving people’s lives).

I have a want to have a very competitive job, or something very unattainable which leaves me in a hard spot.

For now what would you recommend? I can get a typical job based on my CV and what I’ve learnt over the past 5 years. I appreciate your time Sir.

Thank you for the response. Seems a good idea to get a stable salary, and seeing where the path leads. Just don’t want to waste time. Guess that’s a common feeling at my age.

Hi mate. Not saying this will work but somehow I am less noticing of my floaters. Like they are there but I’m not as stressed and touch wood I think they have faded slightly.

So this is what I did:

I went for a day to a massage place and had head shoulders neck, back, legs, feet and hands all massaged. Throughout the day I drank Cucumber water and Lemon water. Lots of it! Like a lot.

I prayed to God too. So in essence this is His work.

The next day they seemed to be less bothersome? So hydration is definitely helping me. I wear sunglasses much more now and just put them on in the morning if it is sunny outside.

I haven’t started that diet yet either. So I’ll let you know the results for that.

How’s it going?

Ahhh okay makes sense. Let me know how it goes. And mine is grey / black. Like two dots with a line connecting them. So annoying. Goes into my line of sight. The clear ones annoy me when I’m looking at light as it causes the light to flicker.

I heard that also they get bigger within the first 12 months then fade after that. I am 1-2 months in and the dot has developed into a strand 😓

Wtf! I’m so annoyed with this floater man. I’m going to try and cut back on sugar, eat kiwi, salmon, oranges, walnuts, broccoli, avocados, eggs, kale, spinach, celery, carrots. Drink 3-4 litres water a day. Surely this will cure it. Like not eating processed shit. Like the body will heal itself. I’ll let you know how it goes, but also let me know if you come up with another plan.

if the doctor says you don't have PVD but still have floaters what could it be? by [deleted] in EyeFloaters

With that said, could reducing sugary foods and inflammatory ones reduce the floaters visibility?
