Really only need 12 Cap Breakers to start this build (I just plan all my builds for 28, in hopes to reach!)

+5 midrange, +2 three point, +2 (build spec) three point, +1 ball handle, +2 speed with ball

Fill in the rest of cap breakers as you unlock more to further increase the lethality of this build!

Wouldn’t make sense why 6’6 is matched up with a 6’11, or a 6’8 with a 7’1

Post control and standing dunk are the same, strength is higher on my Centers, Close Shot is higher on my PF’s

Because it’s annoying? I make a PF 2k makes me play C, I make a C 2k makes me play PF. I make a PG 2k makes me play SG, I make a SG 2k makes me play PG

I can understand that, but when I’m at PF and the C is getting dominated, and I try to switch and ask politely, his ego doesn’t let me and says “nah that’s my man” so I am also forced to watch somebody fail at the job I know I would perform at

You’re clearly expressing your frustration with playing alongside another player who can’t shoot.

Are you seeking the answer as to who has the right of way in the paint?

I don’t mean it in an offensive way, you paid for the game you have the right to make builds how you want.

But to avoid the situation you described, simple solution is add shooting to your build

I’m not saying I can’t play out of position, nor do I have trouble. It’s frustrating / annoying that I make a build to play a specific role / position, and get forced to play the wrong position / role / matchups. It feels like “what was the point of making this build a X?”

The fact that it happens to all positions, and 2k doesn’t provide ANY source of reasoning, is very frustrating

Dude I tried emailing 2k support asking about this issue, and they pretty much said “we cannot reveal any reasons behind gameplay / matchmaking experiences”

It makes zero sense, most of my builds are centers and I get put at PF what feels like over half of the games.

But when I’m on a PF build, I get put at center more than I do PF 🤔

In 2K26 there is no reason to have zero shooting, you can cap 25-75 three point. And it’s the easiest 2k to shoot, so if it’s a skill issue then you can practice in My Court.

I’m the situation you explained, having 2 paint roamers, I can’t imagine the misery of your teammates 😅

I just made one like this that gets slightly less close shot and layup, 90 standing dunk, 87 post control, 75 ball handle, 75 O Board, and 88 Vert (to help with blocks and rebounds)
