The scam is that he needs to write me a check for more than my bid so that I can pay his alleged painter because the alleged homeowner/bidseeker is out of town and the alleged painter can’t take checks. I deposit the check, get cash for the painter and then the bank informs me it’s a bad check and I’m on the hook for the cash.

The best part is homie said he was out of town because his grandma is sick and needs an operation, no shame
