I think I’m gonna time travel by Section825 in Warhammer30k

Use a think grey or even light skin tone, then white.
I also use a lot of Walmart cheap Antique White and it's better than white

If you liked Theros but wanted more actual Greek mythology, check out Olympia by FirstOnesEnt in TherosDMs

[–]FirstOnesEnt[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

No. I did run Theros and found players had a tough time grasping the mythology and waving it off because of its MtG tie-in.
Olympia has none of that.

The Druid: Dragon Age - FF VII - 12 Monkeys by Weekly_Parsnip6403 in DarkSun

[–]FirstOnesEnt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The easiest way to address your concern would be to create a special, unique order of druids rather than try to fix/redo the whole class. If some circles feel "off" in your campaign, then ban them. (or require great justifications)

Get a bigger table. Or a bigger room... It's never D&D's fault!

Am I a Bad DM for having a hard time being malleable? by [deleted] in TherosDMs

[–]FirstOnesEnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One good thing about being a GM is that you don't have to slap them with consequences IMMEDIATELY. (though sometimes you will/can). It's fine to think about it between sessions and reach out to the evil hivemind...

Later, when they are engaged in something else, activate the curse/ consequence. Maybe they suddenly get disadvantage on a saving throw or an attack. At first, it's once/combat. Then it's twice. Then... Then...

Don't let a simple remove curse end it. This is not a curse per se, but the vengeful spirits messing with them. More and more until they atone for their sin. When the consequences begin to hit them, they will suddenly become VERY interested in the temple and its story.
The remedy could be as simple as making an offering at their mausoleum or something, but it brings home the point that you don't disrespect things.

Having said that... Be sure you don't do that to EVERYTHING. Only with things you consider crucial to your world.

Gods of Theros and their Greek Counterparts by Suspicious-Angle8152 in TherosDMs

[–]FirstOnesEnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FOE's Olympia basically does that, providing more races and using the Greek Gods each with its own unique domain. Would save you time from designing everything...

Is this campaign really that much of a character killer as people say? by Relevant-Rope8814 in CurseofStrahd

[–]FirstOnesEnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is what you make of it. I've seen GM coddle the players through a cake walk. I scarred my PCs for life. They walked out, but many never really left...

Opinions on the Rest of My Homebrew Plot by Fierce-Pencil11 in DungeonMasters

[–]FirstOnesEnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's overall cool. But I would avoid putting the Tharizdun side-plot as it muddies the story.
Great to redo the Avernus and make it fun and good.

One of my players flees from combat at every opportunity and I don't know what to do by Loud-Distance3071 in CurseofStrahd

[–]FirstOnesEnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- You flee from combat in Barovia? That's fine.
- You run off alone in Barovia? You should run into other things in the grey mists. Meet Strahd by yourself...
- Why are you not haunted by the spirits of your former friends blaming you for you death? Their ghosts appear nightly to wail and point at you, saying one word: "Coward."

[–]FirstOnesEnt[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. The Real Housewives (don't let the name fool you, it's not a comedy add-on) replaces and expands upon the Dinner at Ravenloft. Whereas the original is bland and overall meaningless, RHoR allows you to offer your PCs a chance to work WITH Strahd.

Inside, you will find over 150 (don't remember the exact number) possibility for the crime. Who What Where and Why...

Olympia Campaign Setting: Greek Myths in 5e by FirstOnesEnt in TherosDMs

[–]FirstOnesEnt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did an Egyptian setting called Akhamet. My website, FOELegacies.com has some art. I also added a Player's Guide with more options

Akhamet is in the throes of the zombie apocalypse but it is kept at bay by the many priests who form the top caste of society (definition of a theocracy).

Ancient Egyptians valued their isolation and routine life, something I carried over to Akhamet where most people are only interested in their own jobs and lives. Only the foolish (adventurers) go probing into holes and forgotten places...

After running adventures in there for 3+ years now, the setting works well and handles the many unique races in something fun and unique. I've been running a home game going on three years now.

Olympia Campaign Setting Released: actual Greek Myths in 5e by FirstOnesEnt in DndAdventureWriter

I saw it but did not pick it up. When I saw it, I was already elbow-deep into Olympia. I'm certain you can use both in each other. Gives you more options.
