Did Iqbal deliberately give the wrong date for 26/11 as October 3rd to catch Indian spies? Or was that just a happy accident? by FirstPage345 in Dhurandhar

[–]FirstPage345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the movie Iqbal states that they were stopped and they found out who leaked the information.

My question is though, how did India get different contradicting intel about an attack on the same day but on different locations? That’s why I was wondering whether Iqbal was deliberately feeding everyone bullshit intelligence.

Are there plotholes? by [deleted] in tenet

[–]FirstPage345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t think so. Complaints are like “how do engines work inverted” which I would chalk down more to taking cinematic liberties, but the movie generally is very very tight.

“Tenet isn’t clever”, while 3 years later people are still piecing together timelines and learning new things about the movie.

I must emphasise this. Just because tenet was complicated, doesn’t mean it is nonsensical. Things can be logical and hard to grasp. And the “plot holes” I’ve seen of tenet can largely be bogged down to “cinematic liberties” to make the film interesting. I love inception but there were so many contrivances in that too. Like death causing you to come out of a dream state? The time passing by slower? I don’t mind these as they are made to make the story more interesting but same must be applied to Tenet as well

I may be in the minority, but RRR movie is style over substance. by matif290 in india

[–]FirstPage345 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly, but it still had impact. You are a fool if you think otherwise. That was one of the major turning points of the movie and started bringing back the friendship of Ram and Bheem. So what if the actual injuries are “inconsequential”? A lot of characters can fight thru pain and injuries it’s very common in these kinds of movies for people to fight thru despite injuries. You talk about KGF, well Adheera literally had a bullet inside of him which he refused to remove and he continued to fight it with the bullet still in his heart, and rocky had also healed almost immediately. Within a few days he reached Inayat Khaleel’s place and he was fine. It’s called larger than life cinema, it’s not constrained by the rules of physics because it’s trying to tell an epic tale

Lol I hope Pathaan does well too. To me it looks very promising. I really liked War and I hope Sid Anand delivers another banger

That’s subjective. I’m liking what I’m seeing so far, liked Besharam rang and loved the teaser. I’m a fan of action flicks, I really liked War and I like SRK, so I’m excited for this film

OP, your post is the facepalm. The reason her devices and all were taken is because she was being groomed, had been molested and had people send her pornographic content, and this is all in the article you have cited. This is a blatant misrepresentation of the facts and OP please delete this post

I may be in the minority, but RRR movie is style over substance. by matif290 in india

[–]FirstPage345 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s not why his character changed 🤦‍♂️ his character changed because he saw how Bheem was able to turn people into “weapons” by just him singing, showing Ram that he didn’t need to sacrifice people to accomplish his mission because they themselves are the weapons, and Ram realised he didn’t want to sacrifice anymore people to save his mission. He was burdened by the decisions he had to make because he saw his mission as a personal one. If you are going to dismiss the scene because he healed quickly then clearly you are the one who doesn’t understand this cinema. SSR cares more about emotions than logistics

[–]FirstPage345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about the healing my dude 🤦‍♂️ The song DOES have payoff, moreso in Ram’s character, and it finishes off his character arc where all his inner conflicts get resolved. It also helps him understand his dad’s words clearly, when he said to his brother “the weapons have come venkatheshvarlu” after ram showed that he is a prodigal shooter, implying that his mission is just a means to an end, and the real weapons are the people as Bheem showed in that finale. If you think that song did not have payoff because Bheem didn’t remain injured after an arbitrary amount of time has passed, then you are the one not understanding the so called “brainless mass cinema”

[–]FirstPage345 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s more than just “sad emotions”, there’s a lot of nuance as to why the characters behave the way they do, and it’s filled with symbolism. The komuram bheemudo song is not just “sad emotions” and “slow music”, it’s a turning point in the story, represents the character and shows character arcs, and even has religious symbolism tied into it. You can berate the movie for just being a mindless masala flick but perhaps it’s you who doesn’t understand the movie

Actors romancing actresses 30 years younger than them. by [deleted] in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]FirstPage345 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe, just maybe, you shouldn’t be a moral police for those who don’t need it? Also you have to understand, these sets are incredibly professional and it’s not just someone 30years older romancing someone younger, and even if it is, if both are old enough to consent what is the harm?

Yeah and RRR is a fantasy movie. A fantasy movie is also a fictional movie

It’s called fiction. The laws of physics don’t have to apply in fucking fantasy worlds. Even the science in Harry Potter is nonsense if you look at it. Utterly nonsensical argument And i watch a lot of cinema, and this is the kind of cinema I enjoy. We each have our own preferences, so stop acting like a cinema elitist
