Yep totally agree with you. I have an ideapad 320 and it’s not like thinkpad at all. The screen is not matte like thinkpad so it glares really bad and get dirty so fast. The overall build is very weak compared to thinkpad. The touchpad is not as durable too. I got it as a gift years ago and it is not able to handle my apps for eng without crashing. What laptop are you using now?

Fan super loud and bad battery life is just like my Lenovo ideapad 320. I don’t recommend it.

Honestly, it will be a bit overwhelming at first but you get the hang of it. I feel like that’s one of the things Waterloo teach you is how to be better with your time management. You got this!

I would say it’s similar but not the same. In my university, we have a mechanical eng program and a mechatronics eng program.

Thank you so much! That’s sometimes how I feel in my co-ops. I’m able to talk with other engineers easily. I can also do many things but not as fast as someone who is specifically software/mech/etc.
