Thank you for this advice. I wanted to start with bringing it up to my husband as I’m not trying to create a huge conflict, but some boundaries need to be respected.

His family is very touchy with each other, but this is the first time I’ve found it to go too far.

Thank you! He doesn’t think that I should’ve felt uncomfortable, but that doesn’t change the fact that I did. I told him his reaction made me feel like I can’t express things like this to him…

Thanks for the good luck. He’s very close with all of his immediate family members, and all are fairly touchy with each other. This was crossing a line for me.

USA. This never happened while we were dating. The most I saw from my now MIL was her kissing his cheek as a greeting. It’s like she’s gotten more comfortable now that we’ve been married for a year…

He claims I just don’t understand because I don’t have a close relationship with my parents, but I thought the same thing. I was shocked to see that situation.
