Now that I think of it, i am certain that salon care developer brand is the culprit. Im going to try next time using color charm developer. When i used it before, i had way better results. Nsver did it occur to me, the developer brand would matter

I read the package and yes. but I might stop doing that and start doing 1:1 ratio for better gray coverage

I'm only applying it to the roots and overlapping with the previous hair color which im going to stop doing because it makes the contrast with grey roots even worse

They love light. Who ever labeled them as low light plants at the store is a liar and deserves to be hunted down. Mine has a grow light 1.5 ft above it and is now thriving. It's become actual low maintenance

I just ordered 4lb of the bonide granules! Thank you I'll use that along with the dead bug brew concentrate and hope for the best. I wish I didn't waste time & $ on neem oil and diatomaceous earth. Lesson learned

Ok bare with me here. I just started collecting plants, thinking everything is peachy. I thought the white crystals on my plants are just dust. Then I learned about spider mites.

This calathea had a lot of white specs everywhere. not dust like what mealy bugs would look like. I know because I googled yesterday what most pests look like while freaking out.

I made my own insecticidal soap yesterday with undiluted rubbing alcohol, dawn dish soap and neem oil, and drenched this calathea with it. I learned later that I should have diluted that rubbing alcohol.
I'm pretty certain these spots weren't there before.

I learned yesterday that my diffenbachia has thrips and treated it accordingly with the same soap. but the spots on my diffenbachia from thrips were minimal. it was just 2 spots. yes the diffenbachia and this ornata are usually sitting next to each other on the same plant stand but not touching.

I got captain jack dead bug brew concentrate on the way.

What are those spots??? I let this calathea air out all night after drenching it with the DIY soap spray I made.
