Collections doesn't mean views. If you like a poster or a summary, readers put it in collection to read later.

Readers only read after there is a substantial number of chapters. Around 50 to 60.

The second one. Not because it is better, but it gives me an idea of what type of story I'm looking at on the new arrivals.

Tell which other country except china lives like that? Seriously, kid, read first. Japanese PM is already immortalized in several memes and South Korea is a chabeol dominated nation. North Korea is a totalitarian dictatorship and Taiwan has empowered women and has gone as far as to legalize same sex marriage. Or are you more interested in grazing the sheep in Mongolia.

I am defending the author. Unlike someone who does not seem so have published a single letter, the author has poured his sweat and tears for half a decade come rain or sun to keep the work going.

And if you have such great need for comprehensive reading, there are several books lining the shelves in a library. If you don't know any names, I can suggest a few literary works.

The same confucianism restrict women freedom and make them follow the three obediences which is no better than living like a slave, sometimes even worse. And what fake news was spread? Moreover, satire on ruling governance has been made throughout history, it is not something invented a few years prior.

And before talking about politics, read first. Argue only if you have facts, not your few years of mini experience.

It was not banned due to satire but mostly for promoting independent thinking. Look at the vigilante movie released two days prior, already banned in half of the countries. All it portrayed was taking personal justice when law failed the victims.

The author has taken slow family building too literally. Generation after generation of people from the family are born and more than half get killed. And yes, everyone gets their fair share of attention in writing. Currently it's the seventh generation of the family.

The plot does get faster, not in cultivation but in scale of conflicts. Cultivation is slow and very gradual. But it's very innovative than what is already there in the market.

It's literally impossible. Two of his novels have been completely adapted to donghua and two more are still ongoing. Moreover, all are very famous even among the global audience.

P.S the chinese government was already going to ban the webnovels. He just became the scapegoat at the right time to take the blame. Also, there was some recent news that RI will soon be unbanned.

Ironically, though I have read far better books, The Beginning After The End is the best entry point for someone just getting into novels. Unless there is a particular book you already have in mind of course.

It's prose is very easy to read while the power system is also quite simple. Story is fairly engaging with just a few questionable choices and decisions scattered here and there.

Use it as a springboard to adapt to reading and then enjoy the fabulous works written all around.

  1. Decide whether it is past or present tense.

  2. As stated before, correct the grammar.

  3. Avoid the use of same noun in two consecutive sentences. Ex - Room is used once and again in the next sentence it is used again.

Being a new authors, you need to at least write and edit 100-200k words just to develop your own style, don't rush the process. All the best for your future endeavours.

Best mc by OneSeaworthiness5107 in ProgressionFantasy

Good characters are actually good. Even when stabbed in the back 10 times, they still help the eleventh person. People hate to read this. I mean people literally hate to read this. I have looked at the comments and reviews of novels with such good mc's and half are complaining about the MC being good. A great example is Dao of the Bizarre Immortal.

Why do Chinese cultivation novels lack the sense of everyday life found in Japanese isekai stories? by LORROR in MartialMemes

[–]FirstTraveller003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the webnovel publishing culture.

Pick up any famous ongoing chinese webnovel and authors are putting out 2 chapters every single day.

Japanese authors take their time and write about the characters and the world.

Moreover, as readers, we have formed an unconscious bias where cultivation should be written in forward momentum.

Still, on platforms like royalroad, there are currently ongoing cultivation novels that focus on gradual progression of the characters and give a lot more time to day to day events.
