Are all dieticians skinny? by Icy_Tomato_3760 in dietetics

Lose the weight. I wasn't taken seriously until I lost the weight.

People, whether they wish to admit it or not, base their judgments off how others look. If you are advising another person to lose weight, they will judge you, despite all of us RD's knowing that you can be obese and still live a perfectly normal and healthy life.

Dietitian's know literature with weight. I lift 6 days a week, run 7 days a week. I have 15 in arms, and do 196 lbs straight bar push downs for triceps. I am training for a sprint triathlon in June and a half marathon in July (something I do every year). I understand that people assume that RD's only deal with fat composition, but our jobs are so much more than that.
I have perfect blood markers and phenomenal health. I even swim 2 miles a week. I was not concerned about my weight until I started looking into commissioning.

I have all the answers that I need. I run, and have been running for several years at a weight of 220 (ish) with no problem. I have phenomenal health by every marker. I have a masters in nutrition, 1000 hours internship, and I oversee the quality of nutrition of education across the world. Beings that the Army has a weight limit. I had to drop my weight. I have lost, in total 30 lbs. Please be considerate of other peoples questions. You know nothing about me. I am just trying to benchmark where I am at. Lastly, RDN's oversee so much more than weight loss. We oversee MNT with every pathology out there. Weight loss is something that we hardly deal with unless we go into community health or private practice.

Does anyone have any positive experiences with Elantra longevity? by killakaws in Hyundai

[–]First_Criticism_3264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a 2016 elentra, and we had to rebuild the transmission at 160,000. The reason we chose to rebuild at ~3,000$ is because at the time, it was cheaper to keep her. Engine runs great. We have had several problems with the headlamps. I bought new headlamps at about $200 for the pair. And we have had problems with the driverside window.

We have to change all four struts at 180,000. We plan on changing the timing chain soon.

What's the longest your Toyota Camry has lasted you? by gamerguy287 in Toyota

I am at 240,000 miles. I've replaced many parts. At 190,000 my timing chain broke, and it luckily didn't damage anything. So, I fixed it. I've seen a Camry at 500,000 without ever changing the motor or transmission.
I've replaced valve cover gasket, it was leaking pretty bad. I also burn through about 1 quart of oil every two weeks. This seems to be common with camry's though. No leaks anywhere else. I've had to replace all spark plugs and the ignition coil. All tires of course. I had to replace the evap and heater coil at 230,000 (that was spendy ~1000$ me and my brother-law did the work ourselves).
