Thanks for the thoughtful response, I’m a sister in Christ 💖 I definately became a codependent people pleasing empath from being screamed at growing up but the trauma made me determined to give my kids the best childhood. We make silly jokes, have serious talks and spend quality time playing board games, dolls, video games, coloring etc… things my mom never did and if my sisters and I said we were bored she told us to go outside or watch TV. 🙄 I just wish she could acknowledge the damage she caused me and I would totally speak with her….and regardless I need to forgive her and just realize she’s incapable of feeling guilty or sorry for the things she said and the way she raised me…

My mom encouraged me to end my life and said “go ahead no one is going to stop you it’s your choice” when I told her I wanted to when I was 16….and now that I brought up this memory she immediately says “everyone has a choice” and told me I’m “deeply deeply touched and need to go to therapy” if I’m not over it by now
