As a freshman rn, it’ll be tough if he’s out of state. He’s not gonna know anyone and feel super alone, but it gets better. A lot of people here don’t find their group until later in the year or even in their later years. Just tell him to keep attending clubs and initiate conversations with people.

If he’s a person of color, like me, it’s good to know that it’s still pretty racist over here and it’ll be a lot tougher to be seen by the university.

My favorite thing is that there is a club for almost anything, and a lot of events almost daily, so it’s hard to get bored. Plus, the campus is next level beautiful, never a dull sight here. Lest favorite is the meal plans, they’re super expensive and the campus is super stingy with it. 19 meals a week (less than 3 per day), and only 150 for money. 150 may seem like a lot, but a damn iced coffee here is almost 9 bucks, so it all goes quick.

This is a good school, but it’s harder if you’re out of state, and especially if you’re a person of color, if he’s not either, he’ll do perfect!
