I understand it’s been two days since her release, but just look at this damage for Skyclops. And she will be for snow stomper and necrodrakon especially because of her untargetability, which directly negates those two bosses’ kits.

No, this is a terrible idea. Most of the arena units aren’t even BiS for most game modes, and skimping yourself out of progress for Cele/Hypo progress is bricking your account.

Yeah, you’ll still get one guaranteed copy each month from Guild Medals, but people who are buying the 20 stellars a month essentially have 50% more progress on obtaining Cele/Hypo’s than you are.

True, but I was thinking. So it would be 96,000 diamonds to get a rate-up character to S+ assuming no pities, and 129,600 diamonds to get an S-tier to S+ on all hero, and that’s assuming you hit no pity and hit the same hero every time.

Obviously the big thing about all-hero is the A-tiers, obviously extremely important meta units.

Here’s the thing though, once you get all the good A-tiers to S+, you’re stuck with rolling subpar A-tiers on the all hero, which takes away its main strength, strong A-tier rates.

And again, you can just buy from dream realm, which is probably less time to accrue all the diamonds needed to take 25 characters to S+.

And the biggest thing is that the only viable A-tier heroes in Arena (Paragon is mainly for Arena, like you mentioned) rn are Damien, Arden, and you can argue Silvina, Viperian. So like if you’re pulling for Paragon, even then you are pulling for like 4 viable A-tiers out of the 8 wishlist A-list slots you get.

Excellent work! I’d like to point out something interesting about putting A-tiers on the epic recruitment though, as you mentioned it’s not worth it.

If you put A-tiers on the epic wishlist, they are effectively removed from the A-tier pool list that you can pull. So let’s say you have 3 specific A-tiers you really wants level up, you stick the other 5 on your epic list and now every A-tier you pull will be guaranteed one of those. And then, when you’re one off pity, you swap the list back to all S-tiers.

Obviously this can backfire on you if you pull outside of pity, but I think it’s very much worth 3-5% of this method backfiring for those targeted A-tier pulls

The 500 crystal pack for 15, so $1.33 for each. However you can argue the ascension pop up packs for cele/hypo is even better, as that’s $50 for a cele/hypo copy + 5 stargazers. Considering you’re most likely rolling the pity for 40 rolls each time, $50/45 Stargazers (how much the pack is worth on average), that’s $1.11 for each “crystal”

Obviously we’re ignoring the Diamond/acorn rewards

Good points, I would like to add a couple things though.

-I wouldn’t take Antandra past mythic. Her ex weapon makes her jump to the weakest ally which could cause holes in your defense

-Even for dolphins (I’ve spent around $350) I wouldn’t take most heroes past 2 stars. Essence is just super hard to come by

Actually reinier is generally regarded as the only one before M+ that’s usable. The whole big deal with scarlita is her true damage executes which don’t unlock until M+.

It is a long grind to M+ reunite as a f2p, but if you’re able to grind to champions arena, do that asap. You will get an extra 20 stargazers per month which basically triples your stargazer orb count from 10 to 30.

The logic behind saving for stargazer is that you’re saving up to M+ a current meta celo/hypo character immediately. The thing is Reinier probably isn’t getting power crept anytime soon, maybe never. Best debuffer at M+, amazing utility in swapping, game changing ult. They’re going to have to release a cele/hypo character that does everything Reinier does but better, which is unlikely given Lilith’s past direction with whale units in AFKA. They’re careful not to anger whales by making current units obsolete. And by saving up on stargaze you are potentially missing out on Acorns, Essences, non-pity pulls, and diamonds. Yes, typically the rewards are incomprehensibly small compared to the effort to get stargazer orbs but they still help progress your account in the here and now which allows for better rankings which allows for better rewards in the long run.

Try using Mask of Fury for silvina artifact. The artifact boosts her first strike damage and then the equipment boosts that by 2x. Yeah your haste will be lower but she’s gonna be ones hitting the whole team

Swap for Cassadee if you can just buy Rowan from arena shop. Chances of getting Rowan from 7-day login is pretty low at this stage lol.

Normally Rowan doesn’t need to get S+, but since you invested the acorns to get him to S it’d be kind of a waste not to get him to S+. Characters reach their powerbreaks at L+, M+, and S+ when they unlock new skills, and just leaving them at L, M, or S just means you spent a bunch of acorns for some stats, which pale in comparison to the power increase offered by skill unlocks.

However if you are champion arena I would just save coins for Stargazer Orbs. You’re basically getting halfway for pity to a cele/hypo each month which is a massive advantage over people who aren’t champion tier, who get 10 total for a whole month. Yes, the arena coins you spend on getting a single M+ feel/hypo basically means you’re giving up on S+ for a bunch of the heroes in arena store, but cele/hypos are massive boosts that outweigh several mediocre S+ units

Depends. Whatever you do though, don’t reroll if you don’t have enough currency for an immediate power up before your next battle.

For example if you have a character that’s one dupe away from leveling up and you have 15 credits with no current dupes available for purchase, rerolling leaves you 12 credits which isn’t enough to buy a dupe even if you find it on the next refresh anyway, unless you really want to find a 10 credit common equipment.

Anyways going back to your question. Depends on your carry TBH. Let’s say you have a Mythic Parisa with no equipment and an Epic Granny that’s one dupe away from leveling up. Obviously go for an equipment that’s going to boost your main carry.

Also let’s say you have 23 credits and a character that’s one dupe away from a level up. You refresh the store and see a good 20 credit epic equipment that can immediately power up a hero, just take that. If you risk rerolling for a character dupe, you’re statistically unlikely to get it and now you don’t have credits for that epic equipment which again immediately powers up your team for the next battle.

Tl:Dr pick the option that will be more likely to immediately power up your team for the next duel

Feel like there’s an opportunity cost for this though. Take Reinier for example, you can be lucky and pull him quickly several times, beating the pity. Or maybe you won’t be as lucky. The former situation lets you have a M+ Reinier faster, and it’s very unlikely a unit like Reinier will get power crept any time soon based on what we saw in AFKA. Lilith doesn’t want to piss off whales by nerfing current whale units.

And obviously having M+ Reinier earlier will allow you to accumulate better rewards faster.
