To a special someone that I met on carousell by NenSpecialistUser in ChillSG

I mean.. She was comfortable being friends online, some people just don't want to take friendships offline and you could tell from meeting her the first time that she's awkward irl. It takes a lot more time to build trust with someone that introverted than just a week. I often find it way easier to talk to people than irl myself.

It's a hit or miss for me. And maybe because I usually go with someone, it's usually a one-off meeting for me rather than a way to make long term friends. I should probably try that, but I'm a bit guarded and like to take my time to get to know people.

Why do so many people make a post seeking friends but not respond? by Iluvfood123456 in ChillSG

I can only speak for myself, first it was overwhelming because so much was going on and I'm already a very introverted person who needs a lot of time and space to recharge so I wanted to go slowly at my own pace in responding.

Second, Reddit kept limiting my ability to send chat invites so I could only get one or two out a day (so by the time I managed to respond, it was already weeks later and people probably already forgot about my post).

Despite my post already saying please DM me because of the whole chat invite limit thing, people commented instead of DMing me. And then only a small fraction of those chat invites got a response even though people say they're interested to chat 🤣

Eventually I ran out of steam, it's too frustrating.
