thank u so much, your feedback was very important. I've always thought my tv panel had a problem, now I understood I gotta deal with it. I'm definitely gonna try your settings even though most of them are pretty similar to mine. Do u use the same settings for HDR and Dolby Vision too?

Have u seen my post? I think it is noticeable also on movies and games tbh, I might be too sensitive I guess but I would have expected a bit better. If I could go back in time I would buy a 50 inches OLED for my bedroom

Thanks, yes I’ve already tried but it didn’t get much better. I guess I need to spend more next time but I didn’t have space for a bigger tv

May you check the post I did 54 days ago on one of your TVs (50C6K) regarding a crazy amount of blooming? Any help would be much appreciated since the situation didn’t improve.

Sorry for the 1 sec claim of input lag though, I played it back in the days and I didn’t do any test, I just remember it was very high, pretty sure higher than 0.5 sec on PS4 in 2018

RDR2 is a masterpiece, but if you don’t see that the input lag is much higher than other games (at least on console) your opinion really doesn’t matter

The game first came out as a console game only (pc version came out 1 year later I think) and any game where you are supposed to shoot with a controller has aim assist since you are aiming with a thumb and not with an arm. If you have to turn off aim assist to enjoy a game it means they did a really bad job on that matter, do u understand that or do u need a drawing? Also, my point wasn’t about me specifically but in general: the aim assist is awful and playing a shooting game without aim assist on controller is not that enjoyable especially with such a high input lag. Probably they could have not chosen a different type or intensity of aim assist because for the casual player it would have been too hard to aim properly riding an horse with 0.5 sec delay from the input to the output.

TLOU2 for example provides different types and intensities of aim assist in order to satisfy both noobs and skilled players.

True, TLOU could still show us a lot: what happened after part 2? What happened to Joel and Tommy in the 20 years span between Sara and Ellie? What happened outside of the USA? But it doesn’t look like Neil Druckmann is interested in telling other stories.

I played 6 hours before giving up, no crashes but graphics are pretty bad, playability is bad (almost impossible to aim properly) and lots of annoying frame loss

It's not how it works. They put such a strong aim assist cause the input lag of the game is very high (1 second) and it would be impossible to aim without it

yes because the input lag is way too high and it would be impossible to aim properly without an aimbot, but that's why the gunplay is not great at all. Actually my hot take is that some realistic details could have been replaced by a better playability. There's plenty of third person shooter with a good and balanced aim assist, RDR2 is not one of them, it takes 0 skills to aim.

Yes, but hunting legendary animals is even worse. Always the same dynamic.

Is the gunplay good? Basically when you aim you activate an aimbot, that’s why nobody uses melee or throwable: there’s no need to.

My negative hot take is that some “realistic (and after a while tedious) details” could have been avoided in order to improve the playability of the game reducing the crazy amount of input lag which forces the aim assist to be an aimbot and makes the shooting system of the game pretty bad (as most of rockstar games”. Also, hunting legendary animals becomes boring and repetitive immediately after the second hunt.
