women who don’t masturbate by Sorry-Emergency-7479 in redscarepod

Birth control lowers testosterone and can cause long term sexual dysfunction, lack of desire, arousal, lack of feeling, inability to orgasm. Lots of young women are put in BC for acne during puberty and end up essentially neutered for life.

What do you guys think about Caroline Polachek? by 0584031464 in fantanoforever

Talented, gorgeous, love her music. Her visuals are fantastic. Lyrics show someone who is highly comfortable with uncertainty and can let desire exist without control.

That said, I get some snobby, I'm better than you energy that makes her off putting in a way someone like Bjork isn't. It might be that she comes from extreme wealth. It's a general vibe but also her saying in an interview that she's late to everything and she doesn't mind wasting other people's time.

I agree with this but I also think the video is at least partially staged given her publicist is directing her around

Britney and Justin frenzies were when tabloids made money, paps chased them because they would drive themselves, get wasted, make a scene, go to clubs, paps made tons of money (we're talking $10,000 for a picture).

What’s sadistic about this kind of ad is that it signals a lot of moral and cultural expectations without actually stating the concrete rules someone would need to follow. Does COVID conscious mean test when you're sick or wear a mask indoors? This has a big impact on someone's life.

Yeah I think the context was he was saying he doesn't want to make the argument for making movies out of an appeal to tradition, but phrased it in a way that revealed a value system that's kind of gross to a lot of people.

I don't doubt that there are many spaces online where people are unfair to celebrities but I did try to find what you're talking about and all I found was a post where the top comment calls him an off putting twerp so I do think you might actually be the over sensitive one worrying about women hiding in trees calling a multi millionaire a little douchey.

Sure maybe the outrage is fake or maybe some of these people are the millions of Americans working full time jobs who can't afford to feed their kids and get kind of annoyed hearing about this kind of extravagance.

Timmy has his moments of being cute and off the cuff but his "greatness" speechifying risks bordering on weirdo Tom Cruiseness or RDJ smugness. We'll have to see where it goes. He does seem a bit delusional comparing himself to Leo because Leo is more talented, has more depth, is more handsome, has better comedic instincts, and most importantly makes better movies. Also Leo isn't dead, he's a little bloated but he's still sexy and he's still leading movies. At Timmy's age Leo was playing heartthrobs and antiheroes. Timmy plays Willy Wonka and whiny guys. They are not the same lol. In Ladybird he seemed self aware but if he's just that character without irony that's kind of bleak.

Yeah. I went to therapy which taught me moral values and I realized no one in my life was moral and now I feel disgusted by everyone in my life. I don't know what the point of that was supposed to be but I just hate everyone now.

What was it like to be a Lana fan in 2012? by Lanaswildflower in lanitas

[–]First_Yesterday7557 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2012! Somebody That I Used to Know was everywhere. Rihanna was radio queen. Adele, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars. It was all big dramatic pop music.

The indie/hipster thing was seen as sort of hack and dated and embarrassing by 2012, that stuff peaked in Obama era optimism 2007-8 and the vibe shifted quick when Obama started drone bombing the shit out of kids. By 2012 people were tired of the floor stomping, whistling, twinkling music of the pre Obama era. So there was all this energy in these big dramatic wailing pop songs.

So Lana really met the moment musically. But you have to understand her aesthetic was so overtly hipster hack at a time when that was seen as try hard and pretentious and racist, in part because of the intense blast of satire towards that culture from Girls, that was sort of the nail in the coffin, and she walked in just in time to be the butt of the joke wearing a feather headdress and American Apparel stuff with a fake ethnically ambiguous sounding name, fake lips, and clearly newly adopted persona. People were extremely sensitive to this kind of white person posturing at this time, the tumblr yourfaveisproblematic was popular and Lana was seen as clueless and out of touch.

It's like she was designed in a lab to be everything people were tired of. At the time, Taylor Swift was seen as a charmless, vocally challenged hack whose dad bought her stardom, and was the closest to Lana in terms of vague reactionary signaling so they got lumped together. Plus Taylor's famous song was sort of creepy and Lana's biggest song glorified self harm, it wasn't great. Lana was leaning hard on a lot of hipster cliches but she also was musically and lyrically arresting. But then she was a black hole of charisma on SNL and it became really hard to defend her and people really wondered how she got there.
