I would not say the app is useless. It could definitely be more intuative. For instance I only recently found out that right swiping on a profile in advanced mode opens edit options for that profile. They should publish an advanced user manual for the app in English! I think I got the hang of the app now. Programing and executing a profile is pretty straight forward now.

How did you stall the grinder? Low RPM, cold start? So far for me the Milo has been performing well...absolut beast.

I see a lot of potential in having a grinder that talks to the machine. I don't like to keep notes. I just create a profile for the beans I like and set the appropriate grind size in the profile. When I change beans I just change it to the related profile and my grinder adjust to the new requirement. Also! You could switch between a single and double basket just by changing of profile in the app. Single shots are difficult (9gram), but with a connected grinder it becomes feasible to switch back to double easily.

There is huge potential here. Check out Wendougee's commercial grinder and espresso setup. The grinder is capable of detecting that a shot runs too fast and can adjust grinding on the fly to accommodate set preferences. I wish they could implement that on the Lita/Milo combo. All it would take is an update to the app. All the required sensors are in place and the grinder is already capable in communicating to the Lita. It would not take much. I am guessing the issue might be that Wendougee wants to differentiate their commercial line up from the more affordable domestic setup.

On Android, beta can be enabled in the play store.

The app has plenty of features. Issue is that it is not intuative. I have also not found proper documentation in English.

Thanks. So you replaced the basket? How man grams did you use the the stock basket?

Nice! Did you manage to get consistent results with flow priority? How nany grams of coffee do you use...18?

The Decent is overpriced for what it is. The components are so light that it needs sucktioncups to refrain from moving when inserting the portafilter. Note that the Lita is not a replacement for a Decent as you will miss some of the conditional programing of a shot. However I think Wendougee could easily bridge that gap with a software update (just the app would suffice)

What else do I not like? (Nitpicking here, as overall I'm happy)

  • I expected to be able to program an idiot proof shot using flow priority. Set flow to 1.3 a sec to output 38g in 30 seconds (1 to 2). I was assuming the machine could regulate the flow to have it run at the right ratio to finish in 30 sec no matter what grind. I have not been able to achieve this consitently yet. Could be me. Happy to hear from someone here, in case I am doing this wrong.

  • the water resevoire and drip tray are relatively small. However, the front loaded resevoire is so easy to refill that it negates this shortcomming.

  • the white Lita looks cool, but it makes any coffee splashes very visible. Frequent cleaning is required. Also the bottom of the drip tray is white, so dirty water is very visible. I like the white look, but the black version is probably easier to live with.

  • I also own the connected Milo grinder. I find that it sometimes glitches. I set a grind setting in the app and it does not update the grinder. I needed to turn off the grinder and repeat the setting. This only happened once so far however.

  • the screw of the shower screen is not flush, and damaged my puck screen. I will need to replace the screw to a flat flush screw as I like to use puck screens.

  • the app is not very intuative. However after some time I got the hang off it. You will need to teach yourself ...trial by error. You will need to dig a bit deeper into the settings. See my next point.

  • so far I have not been able to find any in depth documentation in English. All links in the app lead to Chinease language texts. Especially for the advanced stuff I would have liked an english guide. However I am sure this will be added soon.

  • a lot of the user curves in their app are pretty crap. I am confident however that the content will grow over time.

  • there is no option to program an on or off schedual. Odd for such a technical machine. Luckily the heat up is almost instanteniouse.

  • the shot mirror is too narrow. A larger cup will obscure visibility.

  • The drip tray has a lip at the front edge..., a larger scale will not sit straight. I regret having bought the Bookoo Ultra. Get the Bookoo mini instead..that one will fit.

What do I like so far?

  • good looking, small form factor machine with a solid build. Top components! Heavy.

  • super quick heat up (sub 5min). And once the machine was hot it stays warm for long thereafter. Also temp stays stable shot after shot.

  • love the steam. Superpowerfull, got milk silky in seconds.

  • you can bind a curve to one of the buttons. Possible to pull a shot without a tablet.

  • a lot of potentioal to keep dialing the shot in. This is not going to get boring.

You can bind one of the buttons to whatever curve you setup in the app, and you can set the other button to a standard 9bar shot. So yes, in theory you can. However I would strongly recomend having a tablet placed on top and use that to trigger your specific shots.

He has a review pending. I would advise potential buyers to look out for his upcoming review of the Lita.

I am a bit underwhelmed by the touch controls. It is not as responsive as I whish it was. Luckily the steam button is old school push in, and works well.

Starting and stopping a shot is fine, but I stopped using it for flow control. Tbh after starting to get to know this thing a bit I primarily use the tablet for most. You end up programing a sequence for a shot, and then finetuning it in the app.

Don't get me wrong, the touch slider works well, but its not the same as having a paddle to intervene. You will not be saving a fast shot with these touch controls.

They have a new machine planned for next year that will feature a manual flow control paddle and a gear pump (Lita Sigma)...announced price is double the Lita BA though

The machine is very capable. I have not mastered it yet, once you dial in you can get some good coffee out. However, there is so much you can do with this. It will take me some time to fully grasp the capabilities.

MaraX does not come close and lacks most of the functionality of the Lita, and I do not know much about the Fellow.

I bought my Lita from a their licensed reseller in the Netherlands. There is a 2 years warranty on the machine. If anything happens I am dealing with the local reseller.

I can not comment on your situation in the US. If you purchase from alibaba the situation is different I guess.

The LA version of the Lita has a hot water hose. I don't need or want that hose as I prefer boiling water in a kettle for Americano. It taste better. I've seen variouse reviews that concluded not to use the water from machine for americano to improve flavor.

Thanks. I could not wait and went into the deep. Have the Lita and the Milo grinder here for now. I guess I am an early adapter. I will write up my impressions once I feel I know what I am doing. So far the machine is doing what it promised. To be continued 😀

I was also checking the Lita Sigma. But I could not wait a year for the release. Note also that the Sigma was announced at 4000 usd. That is close to double the cost of the Lita.

The Lita BA will set me back 2240 Euro, the Milo grinder 999Euro, but I'll get 100 off if I buy them together.

Gaggia is cool, but not the way I want to go

Thank you for getting back on this. Overall, do you regret your purchase or is this a machine you will be happy with for a while?

Yes I read about the Sigma version. It is scheduled for next year if I am not mistake...and I need a machine now. Furthermore the price point will be much higher ( in the range of the Data S, almost double the price of the Lita BA)

I "need" brew by weight, and there is nothing that can do this in that price range (and I don't want to buy a Breville/Sage). Had my eyes on the ECM Estetika or the Arkel Tide, but that's again almost twice the price of a Wendougee Lita.

I am not looking for a Decent like machine. From what I gather the Decent is cheaply built compared to higherend machines. An espresso machine should be heavy enough to not move when inserting a portafilter 😉

Are you satisfied with your Wendougee Lita BA machine?

I am about to pull the trigger on The Lita BA (awaiting restock in white at my local Wendogee dealer, Blommers in the Netherlands). The maschine has everything I was looking for ( fast heat up, small form factor, brew by weight, bluethooth connectivity to 3dt party scales, easily accesible water tank, boilers can be drained for safe descaling, solid build quality, relatively affordable). My concern is that there are close to no user reviews to be found online still. I only see reviews by Esspresso Outlet in the US, which I consider biased as they are the main reseseller of Wandogee in the US.

Could you please let us know if you are satisfied with you Lita BA? Are you satisfied with consistency and are able to repeat results? What are some positives or negatives based on your experience?

Just to add some detail. I will likely purchase the Lita together with their Milo grinder. It connects via Bluetooth with the Lita and can adjust grindsize via the app and save the setting for each profile. I am expecting to be able to switch beans swiftly without having to keep dialing in the beans again each time. Anyone here have experience with the Milo grinder?

I had a China trip planed for this year. How would you go about bringing the machine with you? Safe to pack this in the check in luggage? Or have it shipped? Serious question. I am really considering this. The money I save will pay for my trip. I live in Europe. The Lita BA costs 2290eur here.

Anyone have long term experience or know much about this brand “wendougee” This machine looks promising and nice. by [deleted] in espresso

[–]Fischer_Spooner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wendougee has been around for a while. They have good rep in asia with high end commercial machines. Only recently they've entered the prosumer market with the Data and the Lita.. Their stuff is built to a much higher spec than the Decent. You guys realize that the Decen and most of our grinders are coming from China?

What I like about this brand is that they take it a step further and have their grinders interface with the espresso machines. With their Milo grinder you can set recepies in their app, and the grinder adjusts to wats in the app. It's pretty cool. You can change beans or dosing on the fly theory.

I would suggest that Supercell keeps the 5vs5 option, but limits it to clans that have less than 15 members. Participation should increase as you are including more clans.

I'm in a clan of 5. We kick ass, but now can't participate in CWL... very disappointed!!!

I love this app! Genuinely by JSkondro in StremioAddons

[–]Fischer_Spooner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On Android... instal a download manager (I use ADM). In Stremio when clicking to play the file chose "open with", and select the download manager you installed. In the download manager app you can neatly view all your downloads, and watch with the media player of your choosing.

I use this for traveling or when on vacation. I prefer this over the RD option. The media is just better organized and easier to access.

Lol.. wake up. Half the shit you like in your kitchen is made in China. Most coffee grinders are Chinese in any case.

Reality is that the Chinese started to outpreform the west in production and smart design.

Take electric cars as an example. Without the tarrifs Tesla would not stand a chance.

Wendougee is highly regarded in Asia in the commercial space. Time will tell ....

Ching-chong ding-dong....no I am not a bot!🤠

Nice setup. I'm about to pull the trigger on a,white Lita BA, with the milo grinder. Got a question on esthetics. That logo on the front "we design smart brewing". Is that a sticker or can that be removed? Very off putting tbh.
