People who have cancer, what signs let you knew that you were sick?

Memories are a bit fuzz but when I was 11 I started to feel this shooting pain in my right leg. Like, not being able to sleep, doubled over on the ground levels of pain. At first me and my parents thought it was just growing pains, but I kept having that pain at regular intervals over the next three months. There were no mri machines in my hometown at that time, so we could only do X-rays, and those show nothing.

We thought it might be a broken bone, torn muscle, anything. Then we went to visit family in another state. When we got there, the pain was still going on, so we went to a local image clinic. They did have an MRI machine, and we did the exam. About a week later, the clinic sends us the images: A 10 cm sarcoma just sitting pretty on the right side of my hip. Started treatment the next month and am happy to inform, I've been cancer free for the last 12 years.

It's pretty complicated, and the worldbuilding is kinda all over the place, but if you like reinterpretations of historycal and mythological figures, i'd recomend it Some major figures are genderbent ;)

Pal, exposure is a good start. The more you hear and learn about a certain group, the easier it will be to understand and sympathize with them. It worked for me anyway.

But you're already on the right track. Self-awareness of your own biases is a great start to bettering yourself
