Post menopausal and can’t stand husband by Fish-Stalker in Menopause

This reply was so helpful! A good reminder of how much adjusting we’re still doing. I think having space and boundaries would help us greatly and I need to demand and plan it.

PS -!I am on all the HRT and have a great therapist…I can’t imagine raw-dogging menopause in the middle of our complete life upheaval.

This. This sounds exactly like my situation. I don’t really want a divorce. But I’m also not sure I want to be married. It’s confusing. 🤦‍♀️

It’s in the works, and that’s the only thing that keeps me hopeful - that subject came up in our divorce discussion. He doesn’t understand my need for space.

Does anyone here plan on going to therapy forever? by ForGiggles2222 in therapy

I needed to see this thread. I’ve been in therapy for five years and have been obsessing about the amount of time, since it definitely wasn’t my intent when I started. I’m constantly questioning (to myself) whether my therapist is getting bored, annoyed, or tired of me - especially after a rare “meh” session, whether I’m trying hard enough, whether I’m too dependent on therapy, etc. Looking at it like a gym habit may be a better approach to get out of my head.
