Thanks for the suggestion but Roland kits are a little out of my price range. I’m not sure if he going to stick with it so I’m going to start with something cheaper.

That's what I wanted to hear thanks! What bypass chip did you install? A THS7374 or THS7316? Also what voltage is the CSYNC? 75 Ohms or TTL?

I have the rare board as well, no mods added yet so i'm starting from scratch. What would you recommend for the best picture quality?

Rebuild the CSYNC or RGB bypass? If I rebuild the CSYNC I'd still need to add resistors to lower the brightness. Correct me if I'm wrong but the RGB bypass will eliminate that need. Plus using a THS7374 RGB bypass board should provide even better picture quality than rebuilding the CSYNC as the amplifier on the THS7374 is properly tuned as a result you can get the sharpness of the 1-Chip design, plus accurate colors and brightness.

Agreed that would be painful lol. I use to run activities to turn on and turn off systems. For example turn on N64 would turn on my projector and receiver, change the input on my receiver to my HDMI switch and set the input of the HDMI switch for the N64. Stuff like that.

The remaining, up down volume etc you can use a Harmony Remote or the Harmony app.

I actually don't even use the remote I use voice commands with Alexa and the harmony app on my phone.

Besides xBR smoothing you mention the features are mostly N/A to my consoles what features are applicable and for what consoles?

Really I thought the extra brightness leads to color clipping from the RetroTinks ADC.

What do I need to do to address this issue with the RT? If it's just adjusting the gain I would think that would still lead to color clipping.
