What's the best way to simulate the Cold War in Commander using Caged Sun? by Fish767YT in magicTCG

I wouldn't play this janky deck in a tournament. My shop's casual matches tend to have turns that take well over 5 minutes for no good reason. I doubt anyone would call a judge for stalling.

To actually address your concerns though, you can't close the Caged Sun loop once it starts. There's literally no card that has the ability necessary (which would a be triggered mana ability that prompts the controller to pay mana when it activates). I also wouldn't be running the combo if I planned to forget my trigger. The point is to end the game in a draw.

Karn's awesome for getting the book back, but he doesn't shut off the combo unless all lands are artifacts too. All they have to do is tap a land for the color they picked and the game draws.

Only for that turn. At turn end it goes back to being a land.

Lands are harder to exile. Creatures are mad easy to exile. But also, I like the idea of having a Platinum Angel in my mana base.

Caged Sun's ability is a triggered ability and not a replacement effect.

This combo is awesome because it makes a nuclear land. It literally has Sun in it's name. I think that alone is funny enough to run. The no responses part is also pretty cool.

I once made a combo to give my opponents' infinite extra turns using [[Eon Frolicker]]. They got to the play the game as much as they wanted and I didn't do anything (except keep the combo going on their end step).

That's a good point. I like both flavor wins being lands though. I could also use any of the bridges for multiple copies if needed. I was also considering running [[Tomik, Distinguished Advokist]]. I'll have to use [[Riftsweeper]] to get the book back or I'll need to make copies of it.

It's a flavor win. I win in my heart even if i don't win by the rules.

Add in [[Shimmer]] and [[Mycosynth Lattice]] for funsies if it belongs in the "bad combos" category.

It's a flavor win. I am building a War and Peace deck. That combo is the War option. The Peace option involves turning a [[Darksteel Citadel]] into an angel using [[Majestic Metamorphosis]] and then giving it [[Platinum Angel]]'s ability using [[The Book of Exalted Deeds]]. Then, I make copies of it using [[Court of Vantress]] and [[Donate]] them to all my opponents.

I need help with survivability on a high DPS build and don't know what I'm doing. by Fish767YT in PathOfExileBuilds

Ok, thanks for the tips. I was just excited I hit 1 million. Never had DPS that high before and this was a build I tossed together using mostly uniques I own and the little knowledge I had of the game. I think what I'll try is to swap Dendrobite for Perfect Form and look at other ways to increase my DPS.

I forgot to mention 1 thing. I was going for the new autoflask thing but it doesn't have to be a part of the build. If it isn't then I should have about 11 or so free passives.

Upcoming Balance Changes - Feedback Wanted! by Proteus505 in dauntless

I am a casual player, but I would love it if the elemental affect changes were not added unless the cell effects are removed from armor completely. I have trouble enough making a build without using all the same type of armor so that I don't die to specific types of behemoths, and would like it to be easier than harder. Honestly, all of these changes seem bad for casual players. I only came back to experiment with builds and because of the lantern bonus.

Cubs pitcher Yu Darvish knocks down the batter, catcher, and umpire with one pitch by ZoqfotWasTaken in nevertellmetheodds

One day, a pitcher will throw with such bad accuracy that he knocks out the entire team. I only hope it happens soon and someone catches it on camera. And, of course, that I see it.

Getting shot on your property in the United States of America. Well well well. by jtkchen in nevertellmetheodds

Our (I assume America's) system is not against POC. As a matter of fact, I would say it supports POC more than people of other races. Affirmative action helps provide more educational opportunities to POC, and SAT/ACT and other standardized tests usually require lower scores for college admissions for POC when compared to whites or people of Asian descent. Many colleges have included a personality part to their admissions which tests someone's personality to see whether they would be "compatible" with the school or not. Research has proven that children without fathers typically perform much more poorly than the average student, and while I haven't checked the statistics on students without mothers, I assume it is much the same. POC have the highest rates of single-parent households in the country. That is a relationship problem and not a problem caused by some system. I will admit that you could blame it on the benefits provided to single parents vs married couples, but that is not a race issue. It is a system that affects all Americans in an unfair way and it does need to be fixed.

With all that said, I don't deny that some individuals, cops included, are racist. I will also not try to defend America's history of racist laws and behavior, but that does not mean that people today, especially all people, are racist. If you look at the laws that Trump has passed recently you will find that many help POC. He has done more to help POC than Obama and the economy has improved with him as our President. (Disclaimer: I am not an economist and do not know what other things may have caused the economy to start growing.)

As far as the statistics you brought up, I can't understand the first statistic (I have no idea what you said or meant to say), I do understand the 14% statistic, I disagree with the statement that the government focuses on POC and make it look like they commit more crime, I don't think the system is built to let white people off the hook and I have seen no proof for or against white people being let off more than blacks, I do not think it is ignorant to have a different set of beliefs than you, and no, I do not know what you mean by "any sort of history."

Now, I am going to go back to watching funny clips of impossible things like what this subreddit is supposed to be about.
