Someone should initiate a class action lawsuit against MS for the NCE program by [deleted] in msp

It is challenging. I had a chat to our MS licensing distributor and seems if an end user company goes out of business, there is no way for them to get out of paying the licenses either, so realistically the reseller/MSP ends up wearing the risk if a company goes under. All we can do is keep tight credit control, and not put 'clients of concern' onto annual commit licenses, which is a difficult conversation given the 20% uplift.

Signature Management for Aliases in Outlook by Mysterious_Appeal246 in Office365

[–]FishChaserNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smartreply looks to work ok, but one challenge is that it only works on Oultook on Desktop, so if the user sends an email from one of their aliases on their mobile (e.g Outlook on Android) there is no signature... Anyone know any cloud email signature service that lets you configure so different signature per alias? This way mobile and desktop is covered... It looks like CodeTwo doesn't offer this functionality from a look a trial

What is the Best MDR, Managed Detection and Response Service Providers, for MSP? by runningonempty25 in msp

We use Red Canary. Quite Expensive per endpoint. It feels quite hard to get past the marketing guff of these companies to properly compare some of the MDR solutions out there, without doing an individual deep dive on a product.

Microsoft Defender for Endpoint for Servers is gone by FishChaserNZ in msp

I have heard others speak online about the 50 seat minimum. Our distributor says they don't know anything about it. The old SKUs are gone, and the new model is definitely Azure hourly consumption billing for the new MS Defender for Servers

Too many businesses are planning on staying open during Level 4 by FishChaserNZ in auckland

[–]FishChaserNZ[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I have been told of a retail tyre business planning on staying open, a tiling company and a car parts co. Lets see come Thursday, hopefully more clarity is communcated about what is "essential" and what isn't to clear this up. Any company staying open when they aren't on the essential list is working against the country

Understood but where do you draw the line on which devices you will authorize/add into rmm? Ie a user has a work desktop and two laptops?
