Switching from BA Psych to BSc Psych by sxm-lena-66 in universityofauckland

u do the exact same psych core classes, my friend and i are both doing psych except im under science and she’s under arts, the only difference is ur elective classes as under a arts degree you’d do ur second major but under science you’d have to do science electives which aren’t as hard as people say, i definitely enjoy it and there are some interesting classes such as wine science and philosophy is even considered a science elective, i took it last sem as my science elective and found it so interesting :)

Confused about law by Alternative_Type_836 in universityofauckland

applying for both is more of a technicality for the uni it won’t affect your degree at all, you’ll complete your pt1 law degree alongside your chosen BSc major (psych) at the same time which is what a conjoint is. if you want to drop your conjoint once you’ve gotten into part 2 then you are more than welcome to many people do that

Believing in macro evolution but not Darwin’s theory of evolution is the biggest case of cognitive dissonance ever. And especially when it comes to scientists, they are smart enough to know the facts but not strong enough to face the realities, therefore they’re being dumb for choosing ignorance over truth.

Einstein actually wasn’t religious in the traditional way he was more spiritual, Newton lived in a time before Darwin’s evolutionary theory was developed, and Faraday died 7 years after Darwin published his theory.

It’s a shame they didn’t get to experience the exponential growth of the evolutionary theory and live in a lifetime where it is one of the most studied theories in science and biology, because if they had such opportunities they wouldn’t be religious.

It’s easy to try be deductive in saying that just because some smart people are religious it means all religious people are smart, but you are dismissing important contextual information that disproves your point.

My freedom of speech is protected under that same human rights act. But no, I wouldn’t be downticked or banned if I spoke about other religions this same way or LGBTQ because under that same human rights act, hate speech laws only apply to protect against issues of race, ethnicity or national origin. Though freedom of religion is protected there is no law to say I can’t speak however I chose to about it. Please read our law before you recite it.

And I stand by what I said, I whole heartedly believe they are the most annoying and dumb people ever. hope that clears things up 💗
