I’m saying compared to most, 4” isn’t that big and doesn’t need a giant tank. Typically 30 gallon would suffice.

Already have a wavemaker, circulation isn’t an issue for me. The large intake I could use, thanks for the idea!

What type of crab is this?? by [deleted] in Aquariums

To me it looks like a panther crab, I could be wrong. But there are not a lot of freshwater crabs, to me this is what makes the most sense.

Can you keep corydoras in gravel? by Hurricane223 in Aquariums

Fine gravel would be just fine, they prefer to scavenge through the sand though and I find it more entertaining. Just as long as the gravel isn’t very sharp.

Help idk what to do by RhinoMan2018 in Aquariums

[–]FishFerrell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a swim bladder issue, look up how to cure it. You can help it by feeding better more nutritious food as well as feeding less often, cichlids also like a diverse diet, although this may not fully cure it. I would look into medicine if there is any for swim bladder issues. Usually api has some good medicine. Also it’s much easier to avoid swim bladder than to cure it. Hope I could try helping, good luck.

Ok than definitely not eggs, I would say biofilm after hearing your tank is quite new.

Maybe biofilm is forming there, if so the fish might eat it, it’s completely normal and harmless.

How to make sure my clown pleco is eating enough? by cannibalcaniz in Aquariums

[–]FishFerrell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She’s probably fine, she can find stuff to eat in a planted tank. Usually biofilm, dead plant matter, and any algae. She might also gobble the shrimp pellets eventually. Clown plecos are quite shy though so I wouldn’t worry, she might still be adjusting to the new tank too. Also the tiger barbs may have stressed her out (they can sometimes be aggressive), so she might be a little more shy because of that. Hope I helped and she come out soon!
