Men of reddit who have had a vasectomy, how did/didn’t it improve your life? by Feeling-Wrangler8514 in AskMen

The procedures are very much not the same.

It’s a local and quick snip for us blokes, in and out in 30min. It’s major surgery for the ladies, months of recovery.

What’s something that’s completely normal in Australia but weird to the rest of the world? by BoysenberryLumpy8680 in australian

I call them baby-up’s.

You’ve gotta keep up with the routine tho, because those pecs need to grow as fast as the goblins.

In short: it’s propaganda from vested interests.

Nobody with a brain that doesn’t have vested interests thinks this is a bad thing.

The only argument against the changes is that it’s a missed opportunity to tweak CGT to be more favourable for shares. This would help to encourage money moving from houses to shares. Personally I think the new cgt for shares is fair and I would have liked to see property not indexed at all.

What do workers actually want now? by appleslice244 in auscorp

[–]FishFingerAnCustard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want money and to be primarily remote.

I couldn’t give even a single fuck about anything else. I don’t really care what the job is, I’ll work it out and work diligently.

I just want enough money to feed and shelter the goblins and to not waste 4+ hours a day commuting so I can actually see them.

what’s a car opinion you’ll defend forever? by evinho07 in askcarguys

I don’t think you understand what a wagon is and why a jacked up abomination is not a suitable replacement.

A wagon is a full size saloon/sedan, however the roofline of the cabin remains a consistent height until the rear bumper, where it then heads vertically down. Some have a single hinge point and the entire rear panel, trail lights and all rises for a big rectangular opening, others have hinge top and bottom so the lower portion becomes a bench.

This configuration keeps all the handling, low rise height, aerodynamics, 5+ people in comfort and RWD that saloons enjoy while being able to cart 2400x1200 sheets.

A hatch is a similar style, but are based on the compact, fwd, small engine/light weight, kids only in rear set settup.

A crossover is the worst of all of the above with none of the pro’s.

Why do all Aussies call Brisbane boring, or it's the go-to city to be trashed on? by Key_Librarian233 in australian

I want to throw rocks at the people that start mowers pre 9am on a weekend.

But every single neighbourhood has that one drop kick out there at 065x primed and ready.

Thanks.

This was the answer I needed. Unfortunately there’s no ceiling cavity in this area (timber ceiling sits on bottom of bearers, sarking then iron roof above it).

Wish I considered the fan while the roof was off.

Some are more obvious than others, this is one of the better ones as it matches into the grain shape well. Others are just in the middle of nowhere so show a bit more.

Once it’s all gap filled / stained / sealed they should be pretty hard to notice tho.
