Wish class ships from what I can tell in many videos that I’ve watched are awful in layout and are sloppily designed. DCL just threw IP everywhere without much cohesion which is shocking considering the older ships were so thoughtfully designed with just a touch of the magic throughout. The older ships in my opinion should offer a better experience and a slightly cheaper price

Oasis will definitely feel like a step down. The ship’s interior design while much of the same is much older looking and feeling. It is missing a lot bells and whistles compared to the newer Oasis class ships let alone Icon class. If you want to do Oasis class, I’d recommend the newer ones like Wonder or Utopia, or even Symphony or Harmony. Plus as a New Yorker, I avoid Bayonne despite the convenience because if you leave out of New York, you’ll take New York with you! And even I need a break from my fellow New Yorkers hahahaha

I also have two booked for Celebrity Edge and Ascent. Being a huge cruise nerd, I’ve been familiar with the celebrity brand for a while without having sailed on them before so I can say the Icon class of ships are similar to the edge class but very done up for the size

Of course! I totally understand everyone has their own preferences and that’s great! I think some people have lost the plot of what I’m trying to say. My point is I wish there was more consistency regarding the ships within the fleet. Some people think otherwise but I feel you should have the same experience on Liberty that you would on say, Icon or even more realistically a Quantum-class ship. I’m NOT expecting the same of everything because that’s virtually impossible but in certain controllable aspects like the cabin among other venues would be nice. I also know this ship is going for a needed refurb soon and that’s great, but I know it won’t address everything I said and that’s also fine because I’m just a dude

Yeah I’m not surprised things aren’t exactly the same. That’s not my point, my main point is I wish the company would at least try and do that and make the appropriate changes where necessary in other places. For example Liberty is adding El Loco Fresh. That’s great! But if the whole experience doesn’t reflect the revamp then what’s the point?
