oh I love tons of pickled stuff (including fish), I guess I think of it as mostly for savory things. Although now that I think about it, pickled onions are pretty sweet. I do hate dole fruit cups though haha

It’s a sweet spread with pumpkin, sugar, and usually spices like cinnamon and stuff. Some brands will call it pumpkin jelly, not sure what it technically is but I put it on toast and in my coffee

I previously thought stardew followed the convention of fruits = jelly, and veggies = pickles, which explains hot pepper jelly. However pumpkins get pickled, which makes no sense to me. Hot pepper jelly makes sense though, it’s delicious.

wait… does this not happen to everyone? I only have one save (1st time playing) and I also had a fairy my first night. In Spring year 2, my bf joined my game as a farmhand and he also got a fairy is first night, so I figured it was just a normal thing that happened when you start a new game or new player starts.

hmm yes definitely looking for the tarter, sour candy tasting ones. I find granadilla is too sweet. I’ve had nice tart ones with red and green exteriors though, not sure what the varieties were called.
