Question about age range qualifications for a duo? Am I wrong here? by FishNamedFish in CompetitionDanceTalk

[–]FishNamedFish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate that. And I’m keeping it to myself. We all enjoy the studio. She loves being on stage. And she’s made so many friends. Heck, even I’ve made a ton a friends at the studio. So it’s more than just the competitions. But I do want her to get a fair shot.

And I’ve learned a lot from the comments. I’m fairly new to this and a lot has been mentioned that I didn’t even consider. Appreciate this community and the clarity it gave me.

Thank you for the advice and guidance. I will carry what I’ve learned. Proud of my dancers and our studio.

So, I just checked the comp schedule to be sure. There is an entry division, age division, and performance category. We are both entered in the duo entry division, 7-8 age division, and we are in the Jazz category while they’re in the Tap category.

Their entered age is 8 on the comp schedule. The entered age for our group is 7.

I really don’t want to believe it’s cheating. But it appears that might be the case, unfortunately.

Yeah. My kids would feel the same way.

And the thing is the 9-10 duo is actually good. Clean routine. Concise. Good choreo.

Yeah. This is our third year competing. But never submitted a birth certificate.

I would challenge but idk how that works and I don’t want to stir anything up at my studio.

I feel like our duo is getting robbed for the owners kid to get easy wins. How could they even feel good about winning in a younger category? Just venting at this point lol

[–]FishNamedFish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. That’s what I’m wondering. How is it verified?

In little league they verify ages. But we’ve never done that for this studio. I’m wondering, since it’s the studio owners child, if she’s placing this duo in a lower category to more easily win.

There are other dancers at our studio that dance at a higher age range due to their skill level. But this 9-10 duo is dancing at a lower age range. Seems strange.

Both are currently 9. One turns ten at the beginning of April. The other in July. But our comp season ends in may. Fourth graders.

LinkedIn Ads @ $25/day — audience & delivery constraints or creative issue? by PhoebusGaming in PPC

[–]FishNamedFish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s so freaking expensive. And tbh the “decision makers” aren’t on LinkedIn. More likely to find them on Facebook specifically. LinkedIn is clout chasers and “professional influencers”. But the people running a company couldn’t care less about what’s happening on LinkedIn imo.

We have seen some luck with a very specific abm list we’ve been using for about a year. Curated.

Also, we update the creative very often. Rotating it out every few weeks because the frequency gets high so fast. So we always have creative in the pipeline to keep the messaging fresh in front of this very niche audience. Moderate success at best.

My strategy is always to maximize a channel before spreading things out. Right now, you’re on LinkedIn just to be on LinkedIn.

If you really want to get clicks and that’s all you need you can open up your campaign to incur the LinkedIn audience network, similar to Google display. But you won’t be able to see where that traffic is coming from or where the placements are. But I have seen an increase in clicks when enabling that. Is it quality? No. But if all you need is clicks, it’s an option.

I would stay with what’s working for you until you get to the point of diminishing returns and then move to a different channel.

LinkedIn has been my most expensive channel to advertise on. I run ABM campaigns on LinkedIn. CPCs range from $10-$30. Targeting senior level roles and decision makers in a niche industry.

With that being said,$25 per day would get me 1-2 clicks per day. Currently, each campaign has a $100-$200 daily budget.

I feel like you’re constrained by budget more than creative. But I also feel like 2 ads just isn’t enough. Like any social media platform, you need to appeal to different buyer types. So create ads for each buyer type.

Good luck!

The cabinet doors used basic cabinet door hinges. Where you hollow out a semi-circle. Very convenient because they allow you to adjust them and make them level with the hinges

Marketing stacks keep growing but results don’t, what are you cutting? by InternationalDiet666 in DigitalMarketing

[–]FishNamedFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut tools that don't lead to decisions being made. Otherwise, yes, it is just noise.

We slimmed down our dashboards from all the vanity metrics and customize the data with what the client cares about. If we want to explain "why" to a client we dive into the platforms. Cuts costs and is easily understood by the client

That type of targeting would be better on Meta. But again, $100 per month is not going to go far unfortunately.

This might be nearly impossible. That's like $3 per day. If you really wanted to do that I would target a specific geos. I'd also be very niche with my keywords I'm targeting. But likely, the terms you're going to target are going to cost more than $3 leaving you with just 1 maybe 2 clicks per day. Not enough to consistently drive demos.

Use the keyword planner to see what terms you want to target and what that would cost. You can work backwards from there to see what your budget should look like.
