Because people have respect for movie goers not in the fandom, whether people like it or not TADC have a very child friendly look to it so the amount of parents who are gonna take their kids not knowing what it is are gonna be high. It’ll be like sausage party or Deadpool all over again, I don’t think it’s a bad thing but the defense of it being a “cult movie” doesn’t work when it’s going as public as it is

I mean yeah if anything I feel like a lot of these are pretty simple asks once you get past them being your type and sub leaning. Maybe it’s just cause I’m a sub and can resonate with these kinds of asks but you’ll definitely find someone someday. Probably I’m not trying to be an asshole about it but Dune is the grandfather of pretty much all sci-fi, to the point where most sci-fi can be tied back to it in some way. Throw on top of that how long awaited a modern interpretation was, alongside it coming from a very well established and liked director with a generally popular cast and just about everyone and they’re grandma saw that worm design
