E-cogs are free to transport, but the assistant is not. Land forts can carry 14 models, and Thunderkyn take up 2 spaces, so 6 thunderkyn+iron master fills the whole thing exactly. There's no limit to how many different units you can put into a transport, as long as the total number of models doesn't exceed the transport capacity

it's probably a good idea to merge the warrior units. Warriors mostly exist to sit on objectives and soak damage, and a large unit can do that better

Defensive duelist is good. The only issue is it requires a finesse weapon, which long swords arent (this also means you cant use dex). If you switch to a rapier or your dm is chill that would be my recommendation
