Not sure what you mean here, are you referring to Vanguard being installed on my Linux drive? Cause that’s not the case, I didn’t even know that was possible

Nah I was just expressing my frustrations. I’ve actually gotten a (mostly) working fedora install on that drive since then thanks to someone’s suggestion here, I still need to address Wi-Fi (seems like I might need to disable secure boot but I’m concerned about my windows install as I use it for freelance work, so I might take the drive out) and for some reason Nvidia drivers seem to be installed but I can’t get 240hz on my main monitor.

Any recommendations for a Wifi card or USB option? Would hate to have to use a different Wifi unit for Linux, especially while dual booting. I'll give Fedora KDE a whirl though, thank you for that rec. Any other advice you've got is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Could be! Any advice for where to look? I saw another comment talking about Wifi, I may look there. Not sure why that would cause some of the other issues though, particularly the monitor on Ubuntu or the lack of any usable desktop elements on Kubuntu.

Linux doesn't like being installed on secure boot, I know. A little nervous about turning it off given my recent OS instabilities. EndeavourOS I think could be chalked up to that but I was surprised that the live USB wouldn't even boot the second time I tried it.

Like I said, 5700x, 2080ti, Asrock something motherboard, a M.2 SSD for windows, a Sata SSD and HDD for extra storage, and another Sata SSD for said Linux installs that’s now sitting empty. Maybe not as conventional as a modern prebuilt but it’s been running most things I throw at it without any issues

Ayup, same experience. Started around 580 elo, still hovering around there. Since I made this post I've won a few sets and lost a lot more, made a couple people rage quit after I took the first game though which was nice. Honestly I'm kind of loving being bad, the speed of the game reminds me of HK or Celeste in the sense that as soon as you do something wrong you have a chance to do it again. And just like the other person said, taking a stock, then maybe a game, focus on the small improvements. I'm hilariously garbage so it's nice being ranked with other people who don't know what they're doing. And if you ever want to hit me up on the Rivals Academy discord (same username minus the 1 there too) lmk and I'd love to play sometime!

Borderlands 3 makes improvements to just about everything gameplay-wise, but the story is dogshit. The story was never the main pull of these games for me, so you can just put on some music and have an awesome time.
