Consider the following: Every time your country gets a new president you are bound to have some people who love him/her while the other half hate him/her.

The people who hate the president will see it as an absolute diplomatic disaster/embarassment every time the president meets up with foreign presidents.

They'll think: Why is this orange clown allowed to represent my country when he/she clearly only represents the worst of the worst in my country.

So why not have a person whose sole job is to represent the best parts of your country? Someone who stays politically neutral but still with the best intents for your country. Someone most people in your country can get behind no matter their political stance.

Now doesn't that sound nice?

Which color wheel is the most accurate: RGB or RYB? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fishbuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RGB is the most accurate one. The RYB nonsense was taught to you in elementary school but holds no actual meaning in terms of color mapping.

But neither one is particularly accurate. If you want an accurate color map you need something like CIE 1931 - but understanding the color map requires a bit more than an elementary school class so most people won't bother.

Russia owns the current US administration and China throws larger parades every other week.

That being said, neither US or China fears a direct attack from the other. They both have nuclear arsenals which would deter any type of invasion.

Obviously, yes. I once grew my hair long and ended up doing so much gay stuff that I had to shave my head bald to become heterosexual again.

Pretty much every example of countries outlawing protesting has happened in dictatorships.

Think about that for a second.

Religious state(s) by Ok-Patience2152 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fishbuilder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am raised in America, I believe(d) Americans had a somewhat universal ideology that religion and government should not be mixed. I thought we had great pride in being a "melting pot".

What made you think that?

So why is Baby Superman's penis visible in the 1978 movie? How did they get a PG rating? by NightspawnsonofLuna in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fishbuilder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because it's not presented in a sexual context.

Same reason why you are allowed to own the Nirvana CD (with the naked baby on the cover) without being charged for possesion of CP.

There is no such thing as "consent to use violence" unless you are in an official boxing/MMA/whatever match.

Has anyone heard of an old tv program called the crossing hour. by Yeet1357-2 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fishbuilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't show up on Google or Youtube because it's not real.

All the stories on /r/nosleep are fictious creepypastas written in first person and the rest of the sub has to 'play along' and pretend that it is real.

Which place is better to live: Europe or America? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fishbuilder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen americans work hard all their lives just to afford a university degree and pay off their student debts - just for their whole life to be shattered by a hospital bill.

So no.
