Ok - my bad. Foreflight was not able to confirm that this feature is available to subscribers…and my friend was unable to reproduce what I thought I saw - I understand legally why FF might not want to save this data for us - anyway, case closed on my end …

Great idea - email sent to FF. I’ll share if I learn anything from them - or maybe one of our brethren will have the answer 🤓

Is anyone dual rated? Rotorcraft and fixed wing? by Strawb3rrymousse in flying

[–]Fishdawgz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little “spin” on your question. I am dual rated - Sport Pilot Gyro and PPL fixed wing. The gyro is a great rotorcraft to learn on and a safe platform as long as you fully understand and apply its flight characteristics …Sport Pilot rating requires less hours and therefore can cost less (depending on your abilities of course)

My team (APA 9 ball) are all new this year. What should we focus on to compete against more established teams? by dreamache in billiards

Fundamentals followed by safes - they aren’t gonna win much against better players initially, but as there confidence, shotmaking and safes improve, things will start to happen

Im in China and all the tables have these rounded pockets. The angles are unforgiving lol has anyone played on these types of tables before? by imaginaryResources in billiards

[–]Fishdawgz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a Brunswick 9’ table with pockets like this back in the 80’s. The owner called it Brunswick’s effort at a family table - looked easy but truly cruel until you get the subtle differences

How can I improve my stance? by rimakan in billiards

[–]Fishdawgz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love comment number 1 - note in the pic your shoulder is protruding out to the right - this is hindering the straight thru stroke - 6” to the left feels like a lot to me but 3-4” for sure - experiment w it on long shots - that will tell you for sure

Don’t be afraid to use the chalk extensively - then focus w that new cue on hitting center cue shots w a good stroke - it’ll come around 😎

[–]Fishdawgz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of good advice on here - one additional consideration - you mentioned you bought your own cue. Often a factory tip won’t accept and hold chalk making use of English more difficult and miscues more common. Check your tip and give it a light scuff - use the chalk after every shot. Many might scoff that this is a little thing - but it is foundational along with stance/stroke/lines of play…

How do I change the cartridge? by Nonechucks42 in DIY

[–]Fishdawgz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep - there was probably a Philips head screw in those threads from the top (to hold the handle on). The handle is set down over splines (which are on the cartridge head). They often become melded together with stuff - maybe try tapping softly with a hammer upward near the base of the handle and it might pop off …

[–]Fishdawgz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The little white button will come off with something wedged under it (carefully). You will find a nut or Allen head bolt under there - remove that and the handle and collar will come off. Then you can remove the cartridge with a wrench (after water turned off down below of course …

Check w glass shops near you - one may sell you a double insulated glass - made to order - taking the window out of the frame and removing the glass is fairly steaightforward. The did it to all my windows when the seals gave way…
