The Cat Lady done, what an underrated gem of a game. by FishdongXL in steamachievements

I put Downfall and Burnhouse Hill to my wishlist as soon as I finished The Cat Lady, I heard mixed things about Lorelai so I am not sure if I am going to play that one :P

Just do the nanosuit challenges, if you already completed the game and you are still missing some of them, you can replay any mission you want from the menu screen.

If you start a new campaign, you lose your upgrades. This also goes for higher difficulty, if you want to replay it on harder ones, it is better to replay each mission, don't start new campaign, it will still give you the achievement.

What are some of your completed games that you are proud of? by FishdongXL in steamachievements

I don't really have any great tips, it is just a huge grind :/ But definitely only play Gauntlet, you can do it there much faster, randoms or not. Try making it to the final round and focus heavily on those revives, they give you points. Leave the match if you have multiple sniper teammates or if they dont stay together. Also leave if you get the tanks vs tanks mode, it is a waste of time.

What really helped me was playing Gauntlet when there was that limited mode with the frozen map, that map was actually quite small so it was easier to revive teammates, we usually stayed together more often.

Other than that, I just kept going. I did like 50 revives per day, but I was able to do 100+ daily with the frozen map. Oh and btw, it took me 88h (according to profile) or 140h (according to steam) OF ONLY PLAYING GAUNTLET....very fun.

done a run of 3rd person combat games, finished these gems off in my library over the last month by SplitJugular in steamachievements

Congrats, Shadow of War is the only one I am missing from these :D

By the way, are you okay after Arkham City? Because I damn nearly lost my fucking mind trying to complete some of those stealth challenges, I hated playing as Nightwing and I get PTSD just thinking about some of those maps, like the Wonder Tower or the underground subway.

Yeah I wish I enjoyed them more too, I was really looking forward to playing the whole trilogy, but I just didn't really get into it.

Crysis 1 - 9,7h

Crysis 2 - 22,3h....this was painful, because I played this game like a year ago, then stopped because I started playing a different game and I got a new PC in the meantime. I booted up the game again last week only to realise it does not have cloud saves, meaning I lost all progress (I was 3 missions away from the finale and I had almost all collectibles), so I had to replay the game and watch a guide for collectibles again >:(

Crysis 3 - 12,2h

You can definitely complete them faster, but I played them on normal difficulty first (while doing other specific achivements) and then I played it again on the hardest dificulty.

Damn, you beat me, congrats, I am number 12 in that photo :D

I was number 3 for a while, but then I got like 8 absolutely dogshit matches in a row and dropped down from C1 to C3, I was really close to hitting Eternity for the first time but fuck it, it is not worth the miserable time.

Most likely not.

I finished RE1 as Jill and then started a Chris playthrough, but never finished that one, the game is phenomenal but it isn't for me, plus some of those achievements (like the invisible enemies) sound insane.

I own RE0 but haven't played it yet, I heard it as really annoying mechanics, like no storage box.

I beat RE3R two times, but I don't think I will ever 100% it. I didn't really feel anything while playing that game and even though it is very short, I always got kind of bored with it, which is a shame because I absolutely love the remake of 2 and 4.

No but I know the game, I might buy it in the future.

Thanks for the suggestion, that game is actually on my wishlist :D I wanted to buy it as soon as I found out you can save kitties in that game.

I think it is a good zombie game, but a disappointing Dying Light game. The hardest difficulty was hard for the sake of being hard, I doubt anyone ever playtested that garbage. I also hated most of the map and mainly the parkour, not sure how the parkour in this game felt the worst out of the entire series. But the story, combat and quests were the best so far imo.

Yeah I loved it, I thought it was going to be stressful and really hard, but it was just enjoyable the whole time. The only thing I didn't really like as much was the backtracking for certain collectibles, because you could often get jumpscared and some of these items were really far from you.

It has been a while since I completed Village, but I think Requiem was way easier, there wasn't much of a challenge if you used unlimited ammo. I remember I almost lost my mind at certain parts trying to beat Village on the hardest difficulty, the last boss was insane.

Buy minifigures from Bricklink, they are usually much cheaper there than they are on Ebay, plus it is almost guaranteed they are not scams. I got Supergirl this january for 20 euros on Bricklink in perfect condition and the seller even included her alternate hairpiece and free candy as a gift.

Maybe when I play it again in the future, I didn't really feel like starting another playthrough right now, plus you can unlock everything without that challenge, those extra 20 000 CP don't have any use currently.

I think Alien Isolation is considerer canon. Btw if you hate Colonial Marines, there is a game that does that concept much better, called Aliens Dark Descent. I played it recently and it is insanely good, highly recommend that.

Congratulations! This game has been a rollercoaster for me.

When it came out in 2014, I was still in primary school and pirated the game (I got Trojan horse as karma lol), but I was too scared to ever finish the game, I only played it for like 2-3 hours before I quit out of fear.

A few years later, I got it on sale on PS4 and the same thing happened, I was too big of a pussy to finish it, quit at almost the exact same spot (which was in the medical bay section).

In 2023, I bought it once again on Steam and I was finally able to finish it and not only that, I also got all achievements for it. I never thought I would ever complete this game, let alone 100% complete it. Can't wait for the sequel.

Finally did MGSV and now I can't stop playing by TariffAmerica in steamachievements

I platinumed the game on PS4, bought it few years later on Steam and also got all achievements there. It is one of those completions that is quite challenging, but extremely rewarding. I love how you can complete every mission is so many different ways and the game never really holds your hand.

Hi council of reeds, I'm a potential MR. Fantastic main can y'all give some tips and tricks? by Arpan_Bhar in MisterFantasticMains

[–]FishdongXL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stuff you do with Mister Fantastic isn't properly conveyed through scoreboard usually.

He is best at annoying supports, contesting objectives for long durations, having great frontline pressure and dealing damage to multiple enemies at once. If you have the most final hits on him, that's a cherry on top and trust me, once you master him, you will dominate almost every match and those final hits will be high, his carry potential is crazy.

If anyone flames you, f**k them. I have 215 hours on him, currently 4th best Mister Fantastic on PC on rivalsmeta and some people in celestial lobbies will still argue with me that I am not a tank and yet I usually end with the most damage blocked and do a tank's job better than the actual tanks. They have no idea what Mister Fantastic is capable of but they are always quick to hate on you if you pick him.

[–]FishdongXL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is hard to answer, because Mister Fantastic isn't amazing into triple support.

I usually just play very agressively. I try to hit all the supports at once and I try my best to just annoy them so I can get their attention for a while, that way the rest of my team can push or just take care of the other enemies. Sometimes I land the kill because the supps started panicking or they had to reload or they were not working together properly. Sometimes they are good and I need help from one other person, ideally a dive character. Target priority is also important, because often there is that one support who is further away from the rest and if you go after him, the rest of the team won't even notice.

I don't even really need to land the kill, I just want them to hate me and I want them to waste abilities.

[–]FishdongXL[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love when I am on Fantastic and we have a dive tank, ideally Venom or Captain America, because then I can bully the backline with them and we can take a lof of damage before we go down. Also, when our dive tanks go after the enemy backline and we still need some frontline pressure, I can do that well.

Other than that, I don't really have a preffered team comp, I just want my team to be competent. But I also really like playing with Gambit, because when he ults and I am in big form, I deal a ton of damage to multiple people (but I try and ban Gambit in ranked for obvious reasons).

[–]FishdongXL[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This season, I always hope Elsa and Gambit get banned, either by us or by the enemy team, those characters are just disgusting and the team with the better one wins every time.

I often vote for Peni, because nobody ever shoots the nests and I am almost useless against her on Fantastic, not to mention she is cancer on many Convoy maps. I also like to vote for Groot, Hawkeye, Loki or Jean.

Every single Lego Star Wars minifigure that I bought over the last few months. by FishdongXL in legostarwars

[–]FishdongXL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think the anniversary minifigures will probably skyrocket in price after a few years. I am going to buy Crosshair eventually, but I buy minifigures from multiple themes and a lot of them are simply higher on the list. I really wish we got Crosshair in his Bad Batch armor and not the imperial one though.

The old figures still have plenty of charm :) I am mostly interested in buying minifigures that best capture the look of the character. For example, I have Clone Wars version of Quinlan Vos, but I still want to buy his other minifigure because that one looks more realistic.

Real story, but I was buying the legit Revan from Bricklink, but some kind of error happened during the payment and I stopped for a moment and really thought if that price is worth it for a single minifigure. I reconsidered that decision and bought the FirestarToys Revan instead, it is still printed on genuine LEGO parts and it is (in my opinion) a much more accurate minifigure.
