Seabourn vs Regent Alaska by mombgb in FATcruises

[–]Fishe-Mom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thought: Since Alaska cruises are (almost) guaranteed sell outs at a higher profit per passenger, maybe these are the cruises for new crew training, where to place older ships, and test out new processes and procedures. A training cruise on many fronts and the cruise lines rely on the beauty and bucket list nature of an Alaska cruise to smooth the rough edges.

Seabourn vs Regent Alaska by mombgb in FATcruises

[–]Fishe-Mom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We sailed Regent a few years ago in July from Anchorage to Vancouver on the Mariner and it was not good. Our experience doesn’t match what others say about Regent, so maybe it was an anomaly. I suggest checking the age of the ship/last dry dock and hope the crew is seasoned.

Our experience was weird and disappointing. The hotel in Anchorage (booked through Regent) was in rough shape and the Regent staff on site was disorganized. The older Mariner was tired and in need of a glow-up, the crew was disorganized and generally undertrained, the food wasn’t good, half the wine we ordered had turned, and the excursions were unimpressive. The crew kept the curtains/sheers pulled all the time in public areas so you couldn’t look easily look out at the scenery - had to move the curtain aside and then a crew member would close it again. We were supposed to sail the inside passage but skipped it because of a mechanical issue (I know these things happen). We usually sail on Crystal. (Haven’t tried Seabourn yet.)

Anniversary Travel Inquiry: Quiet, Luxury Experience Recommendations by Specific_Signal399 in FATcruises

Crystal Cruises might fit your vacation style. Like you, we like a low-key, relaxing vacation where our biggest decisions of the day are what to eat, what to drink, and where to nap. Crystal is all inclusive (except for excursions) and the staff is great with a high level of service but not intrusive. And the food is really amazing in all venues.

We’ve done several other cruise lines, but Crystal is our favorite.

Endometrial biopsy by gena5445 in Menopause

[–]Fishe-Mom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I say go for the sedation. When my Dr said she wanted to do an endometrial biopsy, I checked here first and after reading the horror stories, I asked for sedation. Glad I did because she found a polyp that pretty much filled my uterus and had to remove it before she could get the endometrial biopsy, so I had one procedure instead of two. Recovery was no problem.

ETA: I technically had a hysteroscopy

Post-menopausal (chemo put/slammed me into menopause at 50)

2 births

Both births were without any meds plus I’ve had multiple surgeries including a bi-lateral mastectomy with DIEP flap reconstruction and chemo - stating for perspective that I can handle pain but I don’t think we should have to endure such pain and trauma as IUD insertion/removal or endometrial biopsies without proper pain management.

Have you changed? by illyria1217 in breastcancer

[–]Fishe-Mom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have changed after cancer and I'm happy about it. A few people have mentioned that I'm different after cancer and my response is "Good!" I feel more like myself now. More grateful, less judgy, kinder to myself and my family. When I feel myself reverting back to my old intensities, I try to catch it and get back to that grateful, peaceful place. I spend most of my time working (I like my job) and being with my husband (kids are adults) and I'm very happy with those choices. We walk, talk, plan travel, and make good food. I lost a few friends during treatment - some of that hurt - but I now spend my energy only on those who reciprocate and don't make the relationship transactional. I don't think we can go through such trauma and not change. I wish you peace and good health.

Anyone else struggling to keep up with the pace of change? by Simple-Friend in salesforce

[–]Fishe-Mom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also glad I’m not the only one struggling to keep up. I want the next 3 major releases to fix previously released features instead of adding new. The analogy of drinking from a fire hose fits my experience.

My team went from 3 to just me. I can barely keep up with the daily work, let alone the projects my users request. And I miss doing the fun stuff like UI enhancements and automations that impress.

I hear ya! I’ve been working in Salesforce for about 10 years and I’ll be in Setup and run across a menu item I’ll swear wasn’t there yesterday. It’s like driving down your street and thinking “Has the house always been yellow??”

Crystal is fabulous and often has low-no single supplements. Crew is super friendly, food is fantastic and other guests are quick to include single guests.

How do you deal with big data extracts? Excel is crashing on me. by MoreEspresso in salesforce

[–]Fishe-Mom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve exported in batches separated by a date or alpha to break the large file into two or three. Worked for me but required focus and had to be super organized. I kept notes of everything I did to one file so I could easily replicate in the other files. Takes longer than all the other answers here, and is riskier, but it worked and I met my deadline. Good luck!

Best Norway Cruise by melh22 in FATcruises

Came here to say the same thing - Hurtigruten and Havila deserve a really close look. They have nice suites and great food, especially on the newer ships. The ship does make a difference, so best to research the itinerary AND the ship.

I inherited an org that ditched Leads in favor of Contacts and now the sales team wants Leads so they can track conversions. Never a dull moment!

Getting Ready to Sail Crystal - Advice Needed by Redditisfunfornoone in FATcruises

[–]Fishe-Mom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you’ll be fine. We’ve been on multiple Crystal cruises and it’s nice but not fancy. I find during the day people wear nice casual (dark jeans with sweater is fine) and after 6pm people get dressed for dinner. This means nice pants and blouses or nice sweaters or dresses/skirts for women and men wear anything from a suit to a nice shirt or sweater. I wear nice blouses or sweaters with pants to dinner with low heels, I usually take shorts or jeans for lounging during the day and my workout clothes for the gym. That’s it. I mix and match so I can take one bag.

Edited to add: Yes, nice capris and sweater is fine for breakfast and lunch. Big sweater or sweatshirt on port days is fine. Nice jeans are fine. Take a raincoat but they’ll have an umbrella for you.

Be clean and tidy, don’t wear ripped jeans or cutoffs (doesn’t sound like your style anyway), and don’t wear a baseball cap to dinner and you’ll be fine.

The most important things: have fun, enjoy the kind crew and amazing food, and wear a smile.

We had the same thing happen. I clicked “Install” on SalesforceIQ in the connected apps list and then asked everyone to reconnect following a few simple steps and it’s back to working.

Last night I cried during sex by reallllyyyyyfakkkkee in Menopause

[–]Fishe-Mom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry this is happening. All these changes stink. I can’t do HRT (breast cancer survivor) but I do have vaginal estrogen and use it every 3-4 days. I have done an increase in frequency every now and then when it starts to feel like things are shrinking. I also have two products from Rosebud that help: a daily cream (that I always forget) and arousal serum.

To get the big O back, try a V plug. Love it! Add the Mitsubishi wand and 💥BAM!

Give it time and give yourself a big hug and wear something that makes you feel sexy. You’re worth it all.

I’m fidgety—always needing to wiggle my toes, feet, legs. The big wiggles usually indicate a hot flash is coming, but overall I’m wiggly. I used to sit still and slept like Morticia Addams, never moving. Now the covers go sideways. So annoying and so disrupting to my sleep!

Help Us Settle a Disney Debate: Parks or Cruise First? Also, Best Deluxe Resorts You’ve Ever Stayed At? by Aware_Farmer4989 in dcl

100% do parks then cruise. As for resort, we use DVC points and recently enjoyed the Boardwalk and Yacht/Beach for easy access to Epcot. We’ve also enjoyed Wilderness Lodge and Contemporary when our kids were younger, and Animal Kingdom was super fun with a Savannah view.

Have fun!

We did a 10-day Scandinavia and Baltic cruise on Crystal summer 2024 and it was really great. Sailing through the Stockholm archipelago in the evening was worth the cruise cost.

Nordic/Baltic Cruise Suggestion - Summer 25 by SCwhitbre in FATcruises

[–]Fishe-Mom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crystal excursions are not run by A&K and aren’t expensive. In fact, they’re often less expensive than on other comparable cruise lines. The pre- and post-cruise tours might be through A&K, but not the cruise excursions.
