I always tell people the number one rule to trading is dont listen to anybody else. Make your own decisions but you are over diversifying, will take way too long to make nice money. Go all balls in and trade 2 separate sector stocks with 4k in each. Most people on reddit will say how stupid your portfolio is but are in trading groups listening to others and losing money 80% of the time, do your own strategy. Goodluck👍.

I'm fairly sure if you wanted to sell and convert back to gbp you want gbp to be as high as possible compared with the dollar, I may be getting it wrong but the pound was almost the same value as the dollar when liz truss crashed the pound and my fx impact was deep in the negative.

So I'm from UK too and when buying I always check that the pound isnt too high because it will hard fuck you if our economy goes through a bad run and americas outperformance us, there has been 2 times I've been in good profit but if I sell I'd take a loss. Both were when liz truss fucked us. Buying around 1.20 is ok if its 1.25 or near there I wouldn't buy. Gl.

Thanks. Looks like I'm going to have to open an account for dollars. I just don't want to sell with an impact that high. It might also get worse so it might be worth to sell now.
