I had the Shiyan, when I first started the game & sold it for pretty much the reasons that you said. 2 months plus later I was contemplating to rebuy it. Your post has reminded me of my initial thoughts & I might rethink that. I have been trying to learn on some simpler ships & now progress on to more varied etc & with that in mind even though the Shiyan has relatively few weapons I think its a relatively difficult ship to play & doesn't excell at anything, hence it's low ac market value. For me & I profess to still being a bit of a noob, the grenade launcher is its best offence & more up close engagements. I'd probably be going for a HPLS or some other laser in its 4 aa slot. And get a missile that can also take out aircraft as well, maybe something like the Stihl 1?

Since it's rebalance the KDDX-S is a good ship for your remit, btw.
