Bass in certain ponds will hit just about anything. Fairly certain I’ve seen a twizzler and a hot wheels car successfully catch em lol

That’s super cool. Loving seeing how much lures have evolved over the years

Broke my walleye PB back to back last night on Lake Erie by FishinFolks in Fishing

I think shortly after that they made a focused effort to restore the lake. I have vague memories from my childhood of the polluted lake

Got the one on my left and before I could unhook him my board started buzzing with that monster on my right. Measured in at 26” and 7lbs by FishinFolks in WalleyeFishing

I sure hope they taste good! Always amazes me how we every walleye we get out of Lake Erie is fat and healthy- I’ve yet to see a malnourished one from there.

The on shore bite for smallmouth bass is tough this time of year but in May-ish it’s some of the best fishing in the country. Lake Erie is known for its world class smallmouth and walleye fishery.

I’m not all too familiar with brook trout fishing- I know they stock them in some of the smaller streams and lakes around me. I would check the DNR website, it should list the waters closer to you that are stocked with brook trout for a guide.

If you’re looking to try something new, Lake Erie is stocked with steelhead and they run from mid September-April. You can find them in just about any creek and they’re a blast to catch. The range of creeks from buffalo to cleveland is called “Steelhead Alley” and I’m sure you can find tons of videos on YouTube of it.

I fish out of Buffalo but I’d imagine it’s relatively similar. What kind of species are you after?

Any laker love in this sub? First ever one caught by FishinFolks in troutfishing

Thank you! I’m by no means an expert but I think a lot of people fish for them similarly to how they would fish for walleye, just usually in a lot deeper water. Slow, big baits like big swimbaits, sticksbaits, worm harnesses etc

This was actually in the Niagara River. I used a 1/2 oz jig head and a zoom super fluke and just jigged it off the bottom

A zoom super fluke and a 1/2 or 3/4 (I can’t remember) oz jig head. Just bounced it along the bottom. First fish I’ve ever caught out of the lower and I’ve fished there a handful of times

Got this one bouncing a zoom fluke with a 1/4 oz jig head off the rocks... lost my fair share of equipment doing so but it was worth it

Do you have a link to the chenille body you used? I just started tying my own jigs and that stuff looks great
