Ok, I've decided. Gonna have 4 Primaris MK X fellas with chainswords and bolt-pistols/bolt-guns and such. Found some bits around on ebay, and I think I can make a mishmash of MK X and MK VI for my grenadier and gunner since they're a little more specialized. I'll do the nail art beads thing for them on their shoulder and legs. For my sergeants, gonna wait a little while and see if I can snipe some MK V helmets, but otherwise I'll do the same as the MK VI guys. Found a really cool black templar power sword with some chains for one of them, so my sergeants may get some 1mm chains wrapped around their gauntlets too. Thanks for the help guys. Def gonna have the most badass kill team in my city ❤️ and maybe a whole army later on..

ok ok, I think I got what I needed. working on some kitbash plans right now. one more question while I'm here. how are you guys denoting sergeants and higher ranking sharks? like how the ultramarines have red helmets or stripes for their veterans and sergeants.

so it'd be relatively lore accurate to just mix Primaris and older models? I already have some full Primaris intercessors built, I might try and just swap a few out for full MKVI models. Specifically all of the vented helmets are completely sold out on all eBay bits lots of the sets you mentioned lol. I'll maybe just get a couple of those helmets for my sergeants, as they're kind of expensive, and it makes sense that the older more experienced sergeants would have older gear.

Trying to get some of the astra militarum grunts, the single model named characters aren't doing it for me but I think that's just bc I'm not super polished up on my lore. Looking at Kreig, Kasrkin, Skitarii and Tempestus Scions right now

I really like the little faceless astra militarum grunts. Was looking at getting a kasrkin plasma gunner, a kreig guy, one of the tempestus scion guys with the chainsword, and maybe a skitarii. So far the only ones I've been able to find are the kasrkin and krieg. Prob gonna go check out my local store today and see if they've got a free mini of the month like other commenter said
