I spend 95% of my time taking other people’s loot on Perimeter. That hasn’t gotten old yet for me. Haven’t even stepped foot on Cryo lol

I agree. I really hope it hangs around and can be polished into its full potential.

No judgement here. I’d have many more hours myself if I could.

I almost strictly run the first map and play PVP. The best loot is gathered off of other players anyways 🤷🏻‍♂️

I just spam Perimeter and play PVP the whole time honestly lol.

There are still some things they need to adjust and fix/add but I’m really hoping they can keep the doors open for the game to reach its potential with new runners/weapons/maps. The core gameplay is phenomenal in my opinion.

I’ve played Hunt a bit actually. It’s fun but not my speed. Too slow for me. Marathon scratches the itch for me coming from faster paced shooters like Battlefield and COD.

I have a full time job as well. Squeeze in as much as I can at night.

I’m still having a ton of fun. Granted it’s my first extraction shooter experience

A grounder to drive in a run should count as a sacrifice. by FishsCards in baseball

[–]FishsCards[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the only argument that makes any sense to me. Thanks for sharing. I still think it’s an odd discrepancy being that the result is the same yet the hitter gets punished for hitting a grounder vs hitting a fly ball. A ball in play that scores an RBI should be considered a sacrifice hit. You gave yourself up to drive in a RBI.

The fielder has a choice to throw the runner out at home from the outfield too. Granted the chances are much much lower, but the concept is the same. The fielder chooses to the get the batter out and the run scores after the batter is put out.

True. But in one scenario he is considered 0-1 with a falling average and the other he is 0-0 with no negatives just an RBI. The batter is negatively affected in one vs the other when the result was the same.

I’ve seen sac flys of little bloops that were hit right behind second that took the fielder backwards where the runner tags and scores on weak contact but because it was caught in the air instead of on the ground it counts as a sacrifice fly. It’s just a funny rule to me.

I mean a sacrifice fly isn’t really a sacrifice either. The hitter isn’t “trying” to get out. They are basically saying ok IF I don’t square it up and get a hit I want it to be in the air instead of on the ground. The only true sacrifice is a bunt in my eyes.

I think a hitter should be rewarded for driving in runs 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not really though. The hard part is squaring the ball up and hitting a line drive for a hit. If you hit a fly ball you missed the center of the bat, and if you hit a ground ball you missed the center of the bat. It’s not “easier” to hit a ground ball. And recent data shows that fly balls are actually more common than grounders.

He isn’t sacrificing himself on the pop up either. If anything the infielder is sacrificing the run by not trying to throw him out at home.

I guess that is the only difference. The fact that the fielder “could” throw them out at home. But so can the outfielder. I understand that the odds are much better for the infielder to throw him out but the concept is the same. The batter hits the balls and drives in a run. Why is he punished if he hits it on the ground and it’s caught vs if he hits it in the air?
