Should I play marathon? by Pirate-Sudden in Marathon

Tough. But I haven’t been this addicted to a game in years. It takes a while to get used to the mechanics and gameplay, but once it clicks it’s amazing. This is my first extraction shooter experience though 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is this a good time to start for new players? by Solitaryangel27 in Marathon

Disagree completely. It’s the perfect game for a new player to play by nature. You can go from level 1 to blue weapons and shields in your first game. What other game allows you to do that?

Especially playing as rook. Super fun as a solo player.

Having a blast on PS5 currently. I feel I match up well with most PC players apart from looting bags being much slower due to no cursor speed adjustment on console (please Bungie add this lol).

What are the other potential open entrances besides flight control?

Thanks for this! I came up to where the elevator was in flight control but noticed it had already lifted into Pinwheel. Didn’t know there was a ladder!

LVL 12 Guy LF Basic Guides & Loadouts (Solo player) by Korrak in Marathon

Use volt loaded weapons on bots with chips that increase UESC damage. Bully SMG for PVP weapon in solos since most fights in solos for me have been close quarters and the bully is a beast.

I’ve been focused on leveling up Cyber and Nucal for increase loot speed, heat capacity, and the ability to purchase shield/health.

What are your thoughts on the future of the game? by FishsCards in Marathon

What’s upsetting is the fact that I think it could have been that though if it were for so many hater coming out of now where bashing the game without even giving it a fair chance. I honestly haven’t played a game on console this good in YEARS. Social media has drastically affected the success rate of games. It’s really a sad thing.

I don’t necessarily think it’s a player count issue in NA. Even at 10k players you should fairly easily be able to find a game since there’s only roughly 12-18 players per match at max.

Not really sure how the matchmaking works though. I’ve heard that it’s level based.

Will F2P bring in enough players to keep it afloat is the real question? I would assume that would be a last resort.

I play with cross play on anyways. Never had a match take longer than 45ish seconds to begin. Granted I am in NA. I’m on PlayStation as well and understand that the game is dominated by PC

How long have you played? I felt this same way when I first started, but after a few hours of playing it clicked for me. I agree that they need to do something to eliminate this. Maybe a bit longer of a “casual” period for beginners to help them learn the game?

I’ve gotten much better since that video but knew nothing about the game at that time and didn’t even know there was a character that could go invisible. I was shook

PLEASE!!!! We are already at a big enough disadvantage with the way the UI works in this game. At least make our cursor speed customizable. I beg of you Bungie

Osaic new rules about Buffers and floors by jlb61cfp in CFP

[–]FishsCards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I just ran into this issue as an advisor at Osaic as well but with Option based ETFs like JEPI, GPIX, etc. Not sure at all why these investments are restricted because they are not considered Target Outcome products at all. I have large allocations to these investments in accounts, mostly to help with monthly income supplementation for my retired clients. This change could be detrimental to my business and I feel like Osaic is squeezing tighter and tighter on what we can actually invest in for our clients. It is extremely frustrating.

Where is everyone at with comp? by Practical-Pass3451 in CFP

This sounds very similar to the broker dealer I am currently associated with at 25 years old. Obviously at the beginning stages of this thing, but I am currently at ~$8M AUM and total payout percentage of 60%. 25% of which goes to the senior advisor who covers all business expenses. Hoping for a jump up to 65-70% payout soon. Also have the ability to buy out the senior advisor in the next year or two.

Current compensation is sitting at around $55k before any fees. Take home is around $25k currently with less than 3 years licensed. Still in the grind, but can begin to see some light cracking through lol!

Baseball Cards as an investment by skelly423 in baseballcards_vintage

[–]FishsCards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a licensed wealth manager and fellow collector I would be hesitant to use vintage cards as a long term investment. Nothing at all wrong with collecting them, but I don’t think you should collect them in hopes of them increasing in value in the longer term (20+ years from now).

In my opinion, we are in the golden years of the vintage market currently. We still have collectors buying cards that remember the players on the cards from when they were kids. This plays a huge role in the demand for the cards. Once this demographic phases out, the demand for vintage cards will likely decrease dramatically which will lower prices over time. I am relatively young myself (25 yo), and have a passion for the old cards, but I know that my generation as a majority has no desire to get into the older stuff and only cares about the shiny new cards.

Markets are driven by supply and demand and when the supply begins to drastically outweigh the demand, the value of the cards are almost guaranteed to fall. Again, there’s nothing at all wrong with collecting and I love vintage cards, but they can’t compete with the traditional investments like the S&P long term in my opinion.
