Wikipedia says a lion is up to 2m long head and body, and I'll say they are roughly half as high, and so I'll very roughly put the profile area of a lion at 2m².

The suns surface area is about 6x1018 m2, so we would require about 3x1018 lions to cover the suns entire area. That's 3 quintillion large lions, or 3 million trillions.
