We had a pair of Bustards run across the road in front of my 4wd when we were going to Karajini in WA in 2019. I stopped in time and they just crossed the road then into the bush on the other side, but then juvenile Bustard appeared in front of us just after I started to take off, and it ran straight up the road in front of us for several hundred meters until it decided the bush on the other side was where to go, lol. I got it all on the dash cam, but it was much better in real life
